I visited El Toro on south limestone St in springfield oh when we walked in thw environment was pleasant but I had to use the bathroom so as I approached the bathroom 2 employees walked over smelled the restroom and walked away laughing as entered the restroom I almost threw up so I asked for a manager no one ever came back I waited 30 minutes for them it was so unsanitary and the employees did nothing but knew it and laughed about it needless to say I think my appetite for your company has completely left me 05/24/2025 ar 7:45p.m

Been to this restaurant at least 1000 times over 20 years. Tonight marks the top three worst experiences I’ve ever had. The food was inedible And they wouldn’t do anything about it. No seasoning. Tasted like boiled meat. There’s no consistency with how things are made. Prices are ridiculous for what you get. From bad food to the owners kids running rampant around the restaurant with no supervision every single time you’re in there, even the inconsistent table lighting, there’s nothing good about this place anymore. This place is an absolute zoo. If you’re looking for a quiet evening, enjoying Mexican food, forget it. This is not the place for you. I’m never going back. This location sucks!

We love this place. The wait staff is so friendly. Food is scrumptious. Always fast. Always hot. Heck, we visit enough the wait staff knows what we want, the kitchen cooks it how we like. I'm never a rave reviewer, but this El Toro has earned it.

Beautifully remodeled. Love the new lamps. Service was outstanding! Food was amazing, fresh, hot, and served within ten minutes of ordering. Salsa is chunky and so delicious. The taco salad is served with a large portion of meat. Saturday special is chicken fajitas for $10.99. Never had a bad experience or mistake in 25 years of patronizing this fine establishment.

Firstly, despite the food being edible (not bad, not great, got a slight stomach ache before I left) I will *not* be coming back. The entire time I ate I smelled diarrhea from somewhere, the underside of several tables werent cleaned the entire time we ate despite servers walking past it like 50x (food scraps, napkins, a straw wrapper, all in plain sight), and i timed a napkin being left on the floor (I tried to time it but they never picked it up, but 35+ minutes at the least), walked on by the staff too, from the time it dropped till we left. I had a headache after about 20 minutes of being inside too, which is incredibly helpful when you still have to drive across the rest of ohio and the entirety of indiana to get home. Would not recommend till things change.
(This was the final choice of a restaurant at 9pm, first one had two obvious crackheads outside, mcdonalds closed lobby early and drive thru didnt move for 5 minutes, bbq place had open sign on 20 minutes after closing and didn't have the doors locked, but said they were closed when we walked in. All of this chicanery to be disappointed at the last resort.)
edit: 11:51, just got done puking on the exit ramp of lewiston, felt like i was gonna puke since we left. Would never recommend, stay out of springfield ohio.
We had the Pollo Loco and a Taco, Rice, and Beans off the Little Amigos menu. Both were good sized portions and tasty food.

You can tell that the younger staff work the slower shifts. We had a young lady who apparently did not want to write down my wife and i's order. When we got it, both were wrong, and whenever we wanted her assistance, she wouldn't stop or hang out with the young man at the register. Finally, an older staff member helped deal with the order. When the check came, nothing was discounted, and she even rang up a margarita at full price when it was margarita night. This used to be a place we liked coming to. However, like the Bechtel location, we are slowly leaning towards other choices.
