This restaurant, inside the Courtyard Marriott in downtown Springfield Ohio, offers travelers staying at the hotel a convenient place to eat. I ordered a corned beef Reuben with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing. The corned beef was lean, and the Swiss cheese was melty. We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott and enjoyed their breakfast buffet at Mela Urban Bistro. Good selection. Upscale atmosphere. Beautiful interior design with really nice glass art. Friendly service.

We wanted a semi-casual place with interesting food; we were quite happy. The decor was new (w Chihully replicas on the walls). The waitress was by herself but very attentive and knew the menu. But the tornado had hit 2 days Clark Cnty before and the place became crowded with contractors about 7:30p. The poor staff was overwhelmed (we didn't mind, we were grateful to have power back).
