Very good. Shocking (in a great way) that this gem is tucked in Springfield in an unassuming place. We've had food in Hawaii, DC, etc. This place is great. Pork Belly is on point.

Long wait for our meal, lack of tofu options and being out of primary options
Such a vibe. Great food. One waiter was there but it didn't feel like it. Bar keeper , she was amazing as well. Very friendly and attentive!

It is hard to find a very good ramen shop in Ohio but this is one of the best. The tonkotsu broth was very good. The noodles and ingredients were cooked perfectly. It was slightly under salted imo and I wish the broth came out a bit hotter to the table. The takoyaki was decent but not amazing. The manager was very friendly and knowledgeable. The service surprisingly fast and efficient. The star of the show was by far the meat. You get two big pieces of pork which is very generous. It was melt in your mouth delicious and still had an unbelievable char on it with smokey notes. Whoever made this give yourself a pat on the back and keep doing an amazing job!

Speakeasy Ramen hands down best food around. We travel minutes just to get it. The food is always top notch. And great and friendly service! My only suggestion is that they get a bigger building.

Went with a group of friend on a whim due to an article saying Speakeasy has the best ramen in the U.S. This was truly an out of body experience and the best ramen in the nation. This is wholeheartedly worth the travel. The pork belly is a must have.

Went with a friend and ordered an appetizer (Shrimp Rangoon), Tonkostu Ramen, and Sugar Cookie Egg Roll. Everything was hot and fresh. Montana was friendly and helped us decide what would be best to order. Will definitely be back!

Amazing customer service, no pressure here at all for what you want to order, amazing options and the fact the staff are so kind, they also are amazing with service asking what you need or if you are okay. Would definitely come here the rest of my life!

This is the absolute best ramen I’ve ever had! I got the spicy cheese and it was soooo good. The bowl was so big I could barely even finish it. The chicken was nice and crispy, the spicy chilli flakes they put in was a nice finial touch. Our server Montana was so sweet and got everything out to us quickly! Will definitely be back

Place used to be great. Walked in to sit down (it’s 20 degrees out) and the whole place smelled like sewage. You know the smell in a bathroom when the floor drain backs up? That smell. Disgusting. Tried to give things a chance anyway, sometimes it happens and you can’t do anything about it. But the place looks dingy and run down. Walls need painted. Art is poor quality and without theme or reasoning. Behind the bar is a cluttered mess. Neon lights are half broken.
Sat at the bar. 3 people on staff and they make the 4th who is about to leave bring us water and menus. Menus are ratty and filthy. Mine had a huge rip in it. Theres someone sitting at the end of the bar and the 3 staff are just hanging out with them, I assume it’s an off duty coworker. There’s 2 girls and a bald guy working. One of the girls takes our order. Normal wait time.
During that wait time I watched the bald guy I assume is a “bar tender” make raspberry puree. He was mashing them through a sieve, but to remove the remains of the berries in each batch he bangs the sieve on the trash can. Then goes back to using it to make more puree. Does not wash in between. No gloves, no hand washing. Waiter brings our bowls out. Her thumb is inside my friend’s bowl.
Ordered szechaun ramen with an extra egg. Ramen was lukewarm. Noodles were firm and clumped together like they came out of a package. Eggs were both cold in the middle, clearly came out of a fridge. The only other thing in the bowl was broth and green onions.
The floor staff was trash talking people the entire time we are eating. Very unprofessional group. When we finished I waved at our waiter and made eye contact twice but instead of bringing the checks she kept hanging out or going to another table.
I ate here when this place first opened and it was great. Best of Springfield 2025? Strange. Might be time to clean house if this is the best there is.
