The food is great but management is extremely rude and unprofessional. I have never dealt with such a rude person. Being a store manager myself I would never talk to someone the way this lady spoke to me

This review is in regards to Plum Street. Main Street, when in business, always had extremely rude workers as well though.
We hadn’t had Our Hero in about 5 years, prior to my recent pick up order. What in the world has happened with the portions and quality (lack thereof) at Our Hero???? The food was AWFUL…and not even edible. I threw the subs in the garbage. The [double] meat was extremely stingy. There was so little that there couldn’t have been enough meat for the “regular” portion. Another problem I had was with the rudeness of the manager, Danielle. She HAD to be put in that position to drive customers away! And to think I paid to be treated like crap is appalling. Owner/s…please take notice and somehow some way, please revert back to when you were the best in the early 1990’s. Although, I’m never returning to even give you another chance.

Horrible customer service. Completely ignored me as I stood at the counter as they were having their personal conversations. When I finally was able to be served I heard one of the employees make a smart comment about me standing at “her” counter as if I were a problem and the other employees laughed.

You have to be insanely messed up in that kitchen to send out a cheese and mayo sub, I called the store and they refused to believe that they actually did this, I know it’s very hard to believe, it’s crazy. I ordered through DoorDash and that’s what they’re trying to blame it on, nothing was tampered with, no other burger or sub was wrong or tampered with in any way, no dasher is going to perfectly wipe every topping off of my one sub, (that was in the bottom of the bag since it was a foot long) and not leave a trace of any topping anywhere and leave everything perfectly intact, my sub container was completely clean and the bread was fresh like it had barely been touched, I mean you can tell that there was never anything in between this cheese, oregano and mayo, at any point in time. I also have a doorbell cam and it was just a regular woman delivering my food. The person I spoke on the phone with explained how it’s not possible since the sandwich would have went through multiple people being like that, but all that tells me is either she lied to me about the process, or there’s multiple people in that kitchen that do not care at all about what they’re doing. I have always ordered from our hero and never have problems, except my store was the east main one before it shut down, which isn’t this one. Just overall a really bizarre experience.
EDIT: upon checking, my dasher actually has an award on their profile for being a top dasher with over 2300 deliveries. I also read the most relevant reviews and noticed how none are good, I can tell I talked with the same woman the other reviews talked about, and I also seen a man mention how his sub that was supposed to have three meats on it only had a singular slice of roast beef, like??? You’ve done this type of thing before apparently.

Food and service are excellent. The restaurant feels a bit outdated. My family eats here often, but we prefer carryout. Dining in doesn’t appeal to us much. Quality of the food is fantastic. I highly recommend the Italian sub.
We get the steak Philly cheese steaks or the Super Steaks from there twice a week the food is great

Love this place as a whole. Always have until I had a few bad experiences with the manager on E Main. Very very rude and definitely not customer service material. Not personable in the least. So I started going back to Plum even though it was on the other side of town. I go to Plum St yesterday and low and behold she's there working. Was hoping for a different experience than the previous ones, well she didn't let us down..... Still as rude and unprofessional as before. Note: Not a good look or an ideal person to manage your store.

It's been awhile since I visited this place but it is a hidden gem. I mean the food was good. Not great. Well it would have been great. The problem I had was I ordered. I think it was called the traditional sub which is really good but they only put one piece of roast beef on it. I think it's supposed to be roast beef, ham and maybe turkey or something. Anyway. It had like literally one slice of roast beef on it. I don't know if they were running out or if that's the way they serve it, but that is the reason for my mid-level review. Everyone else's food look great. They were very happy with it. The fries were you know fries frozen fries that were fried. They were good. The service was quick and efficient. The food was good. I just you know would have liked more than one slice of roast beef on my sandwich.
