The course was in great shape for this time of year. As the name suggests, it was windy!

Often stop at the restaurant at the gold club (closed during winter). Great food, excellent service, and great outside seating (seasonal) overlooking a beautiful pond. LOVE this place!!!

Love this course. Beautiful layout and forgiven for amateur golfers.

I have been playing this course since it first opened. I love the unique layout and all the horse related statues and barns. It is by far my favorite public course in the Dayton area. I do have a couple complaints. As an ex golf course superintendent it's hard for me not to nit pick at things out on any course. That being said, it would be nice if they would mow a walk path to each tee box and one pass around each. The tee markers are hard to see hidden behind the tall grass and if you're playing in the morning your pants will be soaked from walking through the high grass at every tee. My other complaint would be about the bunkers. They need to be raked a little more often. There is plenty of sand in them, they are just hard and compacted. Other than that, the staff is super polite and very helpful.

The bar restaurant is located at Windy Knoll golf course. Good for a beer or drink after a round. Also good for a sandwich. Their burger is solid. Service is great.

Definitely one of the most beautiful, nicely challenging, great layout public golf course in, more or less, central Ohio (worth the drive from Cbus). Very well maintained and greens near perfect, soft (considering no rain for 2 weeks or so), and good speed. Don't get the 16th and 18th holes mixed up ?. Super senior price too. Thanks for the hard work out there!!

Way to many geese to deal with. All the ball washers have been removed. This was supposed to be a very nice place to play, but not as it presents itself now for the money they charge.

Great day. Course in great shape. Staff friendly & courteous. Rough on some holes very knarly. Greens rolling smooth & consistent even though grass still somewhat brown. Greens not holding approach shots yet.Fairways cut nicely.

Great course don’t get me wrong.. but it’s the people on the course that think they own it.. Me and my two buddies just finished up the front nine, let a group behind pass us on hold six, we ran into the clubhouse real fast to grab a snack and drink then went on to the back nine. in the middle of hole 9 about to pitch it up on the green this older lady pulls up on us and starts screaming at us about how she caught up to us and she didn’t even see us playing the front nine.. we proceed to finish the hole then wait on 10 to let her pass us.. once she gets up there she proceeds to screen at us some more on how we are so disrespectful to the course and how she is a member and that we can’t go grab a snack after the front nine and we have 5 minutes to get through the hole.. mind you we had 3 scratch golfers just trying to enjoy their sunday.. we told her we would have just let her play through if she would have just asked but she kept going and going yelling and throwing a fit.. ruined the whole sunday golf for us all.. wish i caught her name because oh boy i’ve never been disrespected by someone that bad in my life for literally no reason..

Staff did a great job with dealing with a family event.

Honestly a great course for where it is and what it costs. It does play a little slow.It would be a 5 star but on two occasions of the 5-6 times I played this year the ranger was pretty mouthy. One instance that stands out is being told we weren’t on pace and needed to pick it up. All this while standing on the tee box with a ball on the tee waiting for the fairway to clear. Not much we can do if the group in front of us is slow.

The Stables Restaurant at Windy Knoll is one of Springfield's most underrated places. The food is great and the prices are great. When you combine that with a down to earth staff, you have a place that you can call you brunch, lunch or culinary home.
