I went there for lunch one and another time for dinner. Their lunch specials are nice and come with a large portion of meat and rice.Their dinner menu is great. I went with 4 other guys and most of us ordered sushi. The prices were reasonable and the sushi was great.They were pretty quick with lunch, but it took them a long time to prepare our dinner even when it didn't appear that busy.I will definitely be back when I'm in the area.
Service is decent, food very nominal, I’m from SanFrancisco…I had the best ever. I couldn’t believe I would pay $15 for 5 pieces of sushimi for lunch…really? That’s ridiculous. I walked out. Don’t ever cone here, unless you have tons of Money. Service…they are not friendly at all. The place is dark and dingy, not welcoming one bit. I hate this place and don’t recommend it to anyone.

I absolutely love this place, but Im confused as to why they’re so offended to sell extra yum yum sauce? I asked for 2 of the $0.25 cups for extra sauce. Just for the woman to bring back one, and tell me “why do you need more, you already have 2”.Honestly seems extremely rude, especially when I’m paying $17 for a meal and willingly paying for extra sauce. Very rude staff.

Food is always good. But the people are extremely rude every time I order. They have messed my order up every single time. To the point I check before I leave and they get rude about me checking it. Today I ordered food and while I was eating felt a sharp pain in my gums and pulled a wire out of my gums. I called and she said they don't use wire brushes and said there's nothing they can do about it. Wouldn't let me speak to the manager. Extremely rude people.

The sushi and appetizers are delicious. The hibachi is questionable.Several appetizers are amazing...The "Lobster Ragoons" with sweet and spicy sauce (I'll eat the whole thing, and normally I'd only eat the filling at other places.)The "Shrimp Tempura" dipped in sweet and spicy sauce and Eel Sauce!And Potstickers/Dumplings are good.The "White Tiger Roll" is my favorite! Deep-fried shrimp, Crunchy Spicy Tuna, Lobster Salad, Eel Sauce, and Spicy YumYum Sauce. It's delicious! I like dipping it in extra Eel Sauce.The "Howland Roll" was good. The pink seaweed has a lighter taste.My fiancé loves the Salmon Sushi and White Tuna Sushi. He got me hooked too.Not a fan of the hibachi dinners. Unless you mention not to, it will be cooked with soy sauce and teriyaki sauce. I don't care for the teriyaki. Unfortunately, the rice and vegetables are usually undercooked and the meats overcooked.Calm, dark atmosphere. Service is lacking, they don't bug a lot, but it's also hard to catch their attention.But, this is still our favorite for sushi and apps, within a similar distance. It's about a 20-minute drive.Sorry, I always forget to take photos.

Tonight and the last couple of times we have been disappointed. Just not the same. I get that everyone is trying to save and cut costs but this is a shame. Shrimp hibachi was nothing but rice and onions, soup 1/2 filled, and salad is pitiful. The chicken hibachi was good but again so many onions. I stopped buying my daughter the kids chicken hibachi bc there was nothing to it. Now to the adult size. Just not happy anymore. Come on Yamato… you can do better. Step it up and we will definitely come back!!

We LOVE Yamato! Moved to South Vienna from Columbus and assumed that we would have to make the trek back to Cbus for good sushi, we were WRONG!Yamato is now our go to for sushi and hibachi. You cannot beat the quail and value. Half the price of what we would spend in the city.The ambiance is eclectic to say the least. It is a little dark, but hey, we all have a flashlight on our phone, so get creative and turn it on to read the menu. Service is always great and by that I mean that these ladies hustle their butts off!!Did I mention the value!!! The wine list may not be extensive, but it’s the least expensive glass of wine you’ll find!Again, can’t say enough great things about our little local treasure!
They were very rude and the sushi was very overpriced. The sushi was decent. However, the hibachi had no flavor.

Extremely rude waitress. I tried to clarify the order to help my kids understand what they were getting with their meals and she got annoyed and rolled her eyes and spoke rudely.Food was not good. Super small portions and tasted like it came from the Walmart next door.Will never return.
