I wonder if they just buy pies from the grocery stores and sell them as their own. I've had 4 occasions, in 4 yrs to get or eat a pie from this bakery and there's simply nothing to rave about. The flavor,texture and quality is just flat. The most recent purchase was at the Wellsburg Apple Festival, an apple pie of course, and it was like eating one of those personal pies you'd get at Walmart; sweet but not homemade or local bakery level quality! Guess it's Krogers next time!

I have been going to the Downtown Bakery since I was a little girl. There is not a bakery around that will ever come close to the Downtown Bakery. Especially the glazed donuts, smiley face cookies and their birthday cakes ?
Kid-friendliness: Everyone is so friendly no matter what time I go in, It can be 5am or 1pm. You will never go wrong when you stop past the Downtown Bakery!! We get donuts every Saturday morning between 5am and 8am and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
