My family tried Barrio for the first time last July and we were very happy. I loved the Build Your Taco option. So many great varieties to choose from. The chips and salsa were great. The guacamole was really good. The restaurant was clean and we loved the vibe of it. Our waitress was attentive and very friendly. We will definitely be back when we are in Cleveland next.

So gross. 🤢 I use to eat barrio weekly. The quality has gone downhill!! Not sure if I will ever go back. I waited 20 minutes past the pickup time for food. I only live 4 minutes away and some how all of my tacos were extremely soggy/mushy. They were also weirdly ice cold. After waiting 20 minutes you think it would be fresh as could be? The beef barbacoa wasn’t actual meat but just a huge piece of fat. Also kind of weird but the ground beef was huge chunks, larger than the size of a quarter. Tacos made super sloppy too, ground beef/topping were smashed into the side of it. Made me think it was old meat that had been in the prep area, how else does it get on the outside of the shell like that.

Atmosphere is great here, however the food is just not what everyone makes it out to be. I have tried it several times and its always edible, but nothing great. It is a subpar taco joint. The food was also extremely over priced. I got 2 tacos, a cheese dipping sauce and a soda and my bill was $31. Was given no receipt and it wasnt until we were leaving we found out a 20% tip was already added to the bill but never told to us, so almost the entire party tipped twice. I paid cash everyone else paid with a card, never got a receipt to check why it was so expensive. Still with a 20% tip added $31 seems insanely high for 2 basic beef tacos, a drink and a dipping cheese sauce. If I can help it i will try to avoid it and go elsewhere. Had a great time with my party still but just left feeling taken from them.

Absolutely love me some Barrio! I love how you can build your own tacos and how easy it is. I'm really picky, so I extra appreciate filling out bubbles on a piece of paper vs listing what I want and don't want. The service here typically sucks so sometimes I order two drinks at a time instead of one cuz they'll take that long to loop back around.
