The food was fantastic yesterday, however, the service was poor. When I arrived, my guest had not yet arrived. The server brought water over, but did not stop to see if I would like something to drink. When my party arrived, he brough menus and then wanted the order right away. We weren't ready at that time, however we had to flag him down ~ 20 minutes later. He never stopped to check on us at all. When our order was placed, the food was timely and very good. At times, we appeared to be a bother to the server.

We absolutely loved our visit to Don Pomeroy House. It's a beautiful, cozy, and very intimate restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. The menu is delicious — everything we ordered was excellent and full of flavor. I also asked for a cocktail that wasn't on the menu, and the bartender kindly agreed to make it for me. It turned out amazing! The service was attentive and warm, and everything was truly top level. We left very happy and will definitely be back.

It was a very quiet night at the restaurant and we were the last reservation at 7:30 pm on a Tuesday night. May be their usual chef or sous chef was gone as the meals were not as good but the service was excellent! Jerry was so great and tried to accommodate all the needed changes and requests. She was wonderful and so was the night manager.

We sat in the room where there was the fireplace was all decorated with lights and garland. It was cozy. It was just beautiful.

Server made no personal connection. Asked for drinks/Food/ Dessert. He was a robot. The sea bass was crunchy, unless I have no idea what I’m talking about, is that normal? The prices are out of bounds, I’d rather watch Brady Quinn play for the browns next year than eat here

The entree items were good, the sides were a little bland for my tastes. The waiter was nice, the bus lady was good at filling water. But she took our leftovers and threw them out. We had half a NY strip steak and sides plus my 1/4 rack of lamb with risotto left. We saw another table receive boxed leftovers and assumed ours would be too but my dessert to go and our check came and we never got them. That was a pretty decently priced dinner to get half thrown out, so I'm disappointed by that. I don't think we'll be dinning here again.

Don's Pomeroy House is always our go to for fine dining in the greater Cleveland area. We were not disappointed with the seasonal Cleveland Clambake offering. It was just what you expect from a clambake: 1/2 superbly broasted chicken, corn on the cob, potatoes and lots of clams in a savory broth. The also had clam chowder, but that was not included. Way too much food, but tasty. Service superb and professional as we've come to anticipate.

We ate at The Pub, the downstairs area of Don’s Pomeroy House, and unfortunately the meal was a major letdown. We ordered three appetizers and four entrées, and every dish missed the mark. The mussels arrived with cold broth, the wings were slightly undercooked and cold, and the shrimp appetizer was only lukewarm. I ordered the special — a brisket sandwich — and the meat tasted more like thin roast beef, dry enough that even the barbecue sauce couldn’t help. The fries on the side were cold and soggy.
The only reason this isn’t a one-star review is because the bartender/server was genuinely fantastic — friendly, attentive, and the bright spot of our visit. The live music and atmosphere were also great.
But the food was incredibly disappointing, and I wouldn’t come back to eat here again.

Loved our night out at the restaurant. Our server, Shana, did a great job catering to my wife's gluten allergy and made sure our cups were always full and we were happy. I will definitely be coming back to this location again soon.
