Everything about this place was incredible. We got Jeff as our server and he was very considerate. He even boxed up her food and threw away the fatty bits of steak she cut off but kept the ones that weren't.Firstly, compliments to the chef. The food was timely, and the steak was the best I've ever eaten, hands down. I got the 16 oz NY Strip and it was cooked perfectly medium rare. Complete compliments to the wait staff and bartender. The mixed drinks were also top notch. Will be returning.

Great up scale dining room. Took some customers and we all had the special of NY strip and mashed potatoes. It was amazing and the peppercorn sauce was the star of the show.

First my reservation was at noon but the door was locked until afternoon. Then I ordered the cod. When I got my food the only thing I got was crust. Worse dish I ever got in my life. Couldn’t believe that they didn’t admit that there was a problem. Just tried to make it right by giving me some thing else to make me satisfied. Bad karma!

I have been coming to the Strongsville area for work 10 days a month for the past couple of years and have never tried this restaurant until tonight. The menu offers an excellent selection of relatively traditional American and continental items. The meals we had were flawlessly executed and beautifully presented. Our sever, Tammy, was highly professional and extremely warm and welcoming. My only criticism is that I wish the crowd was a bit younger and livelier (and I’m 63). There is a certain throwback vibe here — but as perfectly as they do everything, that’s ok with me.

food was marginal. seared crusted tuna was overcooked first time. sent back. came back raw. service was polite but curt and we felt rushed to leave. reservation was for 7. around 830 you could tell we were being pushed out. unfortunate as this was a Friday night and a birthday celebration. matrade was disconnected, on phone and not engaging. just kind of a bummer.... beautiful place

We went to Don’s for our anniversary. We celebrate our anniversaries there on a regular basis and always enjoy the food. Well, this time didn’t turn out that way. I ordered a Reuben sandwich and fries. I haven’t had a good Reuben in a while so I thought a nice restaurant like this. Should do a sandwich like this pretty well. Boy was I wrong the corn beef was way dry and overcooked. I have never had thin sliced corn beef this tough. Also, the fries were soggy and limp. How hard is it to cook fries correctly? You cook them till they’re crispy. My fiancé salad was good. The drinks were good and the service was good.. It’s a shame they ruined my dinner.. I didn’t bother sending it back because I didn’t want to screw up the whole meal for us. One other thing, my fiancé ordered the French onion soup, which was extremely salty. I’m not sure how you serve something that’s this salty. We were not able to finish it and I can honestly tell you I’ve never left good French onion soup behind in the bowl. If it wasn’t for the great service, this would’ve been a complete waste of time and money. Lesson learned don’t order corn beef fry’s At restaurant that is supposed to be world class because apparently they don’t know how to do simple food.

I have come here multiple times over the years and the food is always great. I recently had my wedding rehearsal dinner here and wow, the food was absolutely phenomenal. The lobster tails were SO extremely sweet and just absolutely fantastic. I will probably be coming here more often after that meal! The staff made having a private party very easy and made custom menus for me with the food offerings of the night. We also didn’t have to pay a fee to reserve like some other places. Be cautious booking the private room upstairs though - it is very tight for 20 people and it was super hot and stuffy! We probably should have just stuck to the dining room area or the pub

A classic steakhouse. Menu has good options and the atmosphere is what you get in a traditional restaurant. We came with a relatively large group, and were accommodated appropriately. I got the short rib with risotto which was great. One person in our group ordered the breaded halibut and it was burnt and over cooked. The waitress was kind enough to take that off the bill. Overall, a fine experience, but probably wouldn’t go again.

This was our first visit to Don's Pomeroy House and it lived up to its reputation. Our server, Tammy, was both knowledgeable and helpful. Both the quality and the preparation of each course was excellent. I ordered a filet mignon and my wife ordered the faroe island salmon. Both were delicious. We were also impressed by the soups, salads, and desserts. This was a very enjoyable dinner and I'm certain we'll return!
