Always a good time at shinto!! The food was amazing and the wait staff was even better!! Our chef was a little quiet but we didnt mind! Ive been going since i was a kid, and will continue to return!

I was in a party of 30 people and our server Olivia was amazing!! She handled all 3 tables like a boss! Our dinner was wonderful thanks to her!

Very good and very friendly staff. Chef was fun and funny and read our energy level perfectly. You get ALOT of food for your money. They also have Japanese imported beer.

We have been coming to this location for a few years now. This has been my sister's favorite Hibachi restaurant for a long while. Friday, we were visiting to celebrate our father's birthday. Our hibachi chef, Papi, has been my sister's all time favorite and I could absolutely see why. He not only recalled the last conversation he had with my sister which we almost a year ago, but was very personable and talked with us through the entire process. I will admit the pomp of hibachi is not really my thing and I honestly really enjoyed the experience being more of a conversation with Papi while he expertly prepared our meal. We still had the staple of onion volcano while we sing happy birthday, some traditional things are just necessary for hibachi. We all got a laugh as not only did we sing happy birthday for my father during meal prep, the staff also brought out a serving of their fries ice cream with whip cream, so we sang again! My sister also baked a cake and brought that so we we brought that out, we sang a third time for him!

Everything was cooked to perfection and our entire group left the restaurant happy and full. I have also visited for sushi previously as well and that has also always been a very positive experience when visiting. Papi was amazing and we will absolutely try and ensure we have him at our table for or next visit.

This was my first time here absolutely loved everything. The food was delicious just what we ordered, Our server was great she made sure we had everything we needed.

Nothing special dress code is off flipflops and shorts next to dressy ...just off..Floors are dangerously slippery for no reason.Service mediocre...Westlake is better location 100 %Not going to return nor recommend this location.Bdw not giving table even with reservation because 2 people are missing and making everyone wait is just not accomodating and pleasant. Sorry poor hospitality

If I could give 0 stars, I would.

My husband, our family, and I came here for their half-priced sushi night, excited for a fun dinner out. We arrived at 6:30 PM and waited over an hour just to be told our table was ready only to find out it wasn’t, and they only had bar seating available. We had a baby with us and clearly said we couldn’t sit at a high top.

They shuffled us over to a hibachi table, where we were completely ignored for another 20 minutes. No server, no water, no acknowledgment. Our cousin, who had the baby, ended up having to leave because the wait was so outrageous.

We were frustrated and got up to leave. but decided to give it one more chance and asked to sit at the bar. Then we were told it would be another hour just to get sushi. What?!

The place was chaotic, disorganized, and clearly overbooked without a clue how to manage it. No communication, no hospitality, and not even the courtesy of service once we were seated. Absolutely unacceptable. We won’t be back

For carry out, very poor. Neither of us could finish our selection.

If you can get past the worst hostesses ever than everything is great. Good food and prices.

The children they have standing at the front to greet and seat are all wrong for the job. These little girls have NO customer service. They do not say Hello to anyone. They whisper like insecure - shy 8 year olds. So checking in for a table is confusing.

The food is worth it and the price is fair.

Good sushi good hibachi. I really love their fried rice especially when mixed with their yum yum sauce. Tried their chicken teriyaki and salmon dinner, it was awesome! Will definitely come back

Friendly staff. Food was okay. My medium steak was dry & chewy, needed to soak it in ginger sauce. Ordered xtra mushrooms 4.00. never received.
Then, I received only 5 shrimp as part of my Shrimp & Steak combo. I looked to my right and my left to count my family members shrimp portions lol they'd received at least 8-10 from what i could count without looking like a weirdo counting shrimp on plates. I didnt complain bc at least my fam had my shrimp lol. My oldest daughter didn't get any veggies. Her plate was accidentally skipped as the chef passed out portions. However the waitress was great at rectifying the situation and had them cook our veggies in the back and returned promptly.

Would not return.

This was my first time at this place and it requires a reservation because it is normally crowded at the time that I went after happy hour even though we had a reservation and took them a long time to find seating for us so we just sat at the sushi bar the waitress took a long time to bring our order because she was waiting on so many different tables at the same time the food was okay I had better Sushi somewhere else I think next time I will try to go during happy hour
