Square 22 Restaurant and Bar

I visited this place today. First visit was many years ago. Amazingly cool decor here. Feels like a place that belongs in Tremont. But no, you are in Suburbia. I didn’t feel like spending a ton of $$ so I ordered a bowl of Chicken Paprikash, thinking it would fill me up. Mind you, I ordered the BOWL and paid $13 for it. What came out fit inside a glorified gravy boat. I would hate to see what the $7 cup looks like. The Paprikash was excellent, mind you..just not worth $13. Still hungry, I asked for the price for a small side
of fries. $9! My buddy ordered a burger. Presentation was great, but his “side” of fries = a thimble of them…maybe 7 fries in total. Folks, you will like the food here, just be prepared for overpriced, tiny meals with a chic, industrial atmosphere to experience it in. Service was great. However, there are much better value dining experiences in the area. Hell, go to a dive bar in Berea called the Hydrant on Thursday and get a proper bowl of Parikash that comes with bread for almost half the price. And it’s delicious to boot.

Always a wonderful place for dinner with my husband or friends. Best ambiance for Strongsville!

I’m a business traveler who is always looking for a new spot where I can enjoy a comfortable atmosphere and good dinner (that isn’t just another sports bar type place) while sitting on a restaurant bar stool. After 6 years traveling to Brook Park area, I finally felt this was ‘it.’ Sure it helped that they were having 1/2 off all bourbon on that day, but that won’t stop me from going back any other day of the week.

Food a little disappointing. Service was excellent.

We enjoyed filet and pork chops at our table. The food was excellent. Our server, Mackenzie, was very knowledgeable and friendly!

A nice place with great food!

I have been here and done reviews for here in the past, I recommended this to my family for a dinner as I have always had great service, great food and a very nice atmosphere. To start I will say this visit was not my normal experience with this establishment. I have been here maybe a couple dozen times and it's typically great. We got there and it was extremely loud (It's not exactly something they can truly control, I do understand this). Aside from that it was decently busy as it always is. We all ordered and got our food except one person with our party. Their window from the kitchen is small so I'm not sure if the kitchen was pressuring them to get the food out, but I believe you should never bring the food out when it's not complete. We ended up having our food for roughly 15 minutes before the last person's food came out. Our waiter had been great up until this point. I understand the kitchen was slacking however as a waiter you simply don't bring the food unless everyone's is ready. I can understand if it was being plated etc. But how long the wait ended up being was completely unacceptable. We were all pretty upset and the waiter did hold himself very well with receiving our feedback, but simply put the issue should have never happened. This was pretty upsetting especially since they seem to have also increased their prices a bit since the last time I was there (I admit it has been a little while). If they are going to have fine dinning prices, they need to have the service to match it and they simply fell short. The food was still good like it always has been for me. The waiter minus the single (somewhat big) mistake was great. The atmosphere all the other times was a little loud but It has never been so loud I couldn't hear people at my own table like it was this time. Overall very disappointed with the experience this time and I was embarrassed I had been the one to recommend it. Hopefully they talk to the kitchen about keeping tickets together and advise the waiters if the whole ticket isn't done you don't take it, even if that means making the kitchen remake the whole ticket. I hope they make some adjustments to improve on this.

The food was tasty but have been variable, my guests had the same thing and it looked and tasted totally different. Nice surroundings, a bit on the expensive side

We took my niece, her husband and their 13 and 14 year old children for supper.
It was bit loud, and our server was wonderful.
All was going well until the meals came out. Everyone received their meals except for my husband!
Number 1,this is a major no,no, especially when entrees are in the mid $40's.
As we're waiting for his 'ravioli ' and our food is getting cold, the clock keeps ticking and ticking and ticking!
Nearly 17 minutes has passed before his RAVIOLI arrives!
This is on top of my $40 blackened cod, sitting atop some Brussels,is very overcooked.
They comped the ravioli, a draft beer and gave us some scoop of a chocolate moose to share amongst the 6 of us, yet the entire dining experience had already been ruined.
The kids had chicken fingers and I had a drink and with tip and comp, the check was still over $300.
We won't be returning!

Our service was outstanding. We had Mackenzie and she was friendly and attentive but not too much. Food was very good. We hadn't been there in over a year so it was nice to go back and enjoy the food and atmosphere.

First time there and quite impressed! Service and food excellent! Dawn impressed us with her personality and care. Pork Chop was delicious and Sea Bass prepared well. Quite a Gem in Strongsville and we will return!

For a great deal Tuesday is burger Night at Square 22. You can get a burger and fries at a great price and reduced price apps during Happy Hour!

Wonderful service I believe his name was Kai. French dip sandwich was amazing!!!

Really enjoyed the evening. It was energetic as we walked in, but not overbearing, we were able to enjoy conversation at our table. The food was really good and the service was fantastic. 

Great experience! Staff were great and helpful. Food has always been great, would highly recommended.
