Very Cosy, very friendly people.
Great wine and friendly owners!
Friendly and lovely atmosphere!
Cute, quiet wine tasting room. They have 5 wines, 3 red and 2 white frim dry to sweet. If your driving by stop and say hi and taste some wine.
This is a great little Winery. The wine is awesome. It's easy to get to right off RT. 40.
Very Nice. Owners were very pleasant to talk to. Try this place if you can
Cute little winery owned by the nicest couple!! It is in the basement of their house with a great outdoor area looking over the countryside. All the wines had an amazing smooth finish! Stop by if you can!!
One of the best winery's around. Exceptionally nice owners who offer a comfortable place to sit, visit with friends, and sip on their many selections of delicious home made wine. We highly recommend our friends stop in for a visit.
I stopped by National Road Winery last weekend for the first time. I'd read one good and one bad review online but thought I'd stop and check it out for myself. The winery is truly in the basement of the owner's house; it is finished nicely with plenty of seating, but you can't hide that it's in their house. They currently have 5 available wines and a tasting involves sampling all 5, all of which I enjoyed. I'm hoping that once they become more established they might add to the menu (my understanding is that they just opened in the later half of 2022). In comparison to other wineries I've been to around central Ohio, I'll give it 3.5/5: wines are good, which is the most important for a winery. However, when they don't have any live music, it would be nice to have some sort of music playing in the background to avoid any awkward silence during the experience. Additionally, I understand that starting a business is very difficult and not everyone has the ability to build a separate building for the business so I was able to look past the fact that the winery is in their basement. However, I would suggest to the owners that they clean up the area between their driveway and the winery entrance door. Seeing an old pair of shoes laying by the door isn't super welcoming. Sharing home space with a business is fine but make sure it looks the cleanest, most professional it can for visitors.
Just okay. The wine was great but the rest of it was a little weird for being a winery. It was in the owners basement & it felt like we were just in someones random basement rather than an actual winery. We were in there by ourselves & the 2 elderly people who own it just stared at us the whole time. Im sure the owners didnt mean to make us feel uncomfortable but it still came off as very odd.Overall I tried not to be too harsh considering how new this winery is & how the owners have zero experience doing something like this. BUT if the owners eventually want a true winery experience, they ought to look at Sand Hollow right down the street (especially when it comes to how to operate a winery when theres not a bunch of people in there)
