The best part of this restaurant is the building and the piano player. Our waitress was terrible! She got everything wrong. The lobster bisque was a huge disappointment . It had No lobster unit . Not one piece! The house salad was good. We ordered our drinks and it took a very long time to get them. The Tai pineapple dish only had 5 small shrimp and no pineapple. Our bread arrived after we had finished our salads and soup and for some unexpected reason was covered with salt. Good thing it did though because they put shallots on our entrees and we specifically ordered them without. Then it took a very long time before they brought them back out without the shallots. Our bill did not reflect the quality of the food or the service we received.

Food took way to long. Hanger Steak ordered medium delivered well done and ruined. I would fire the person who ruineda 30$ steak. I asked for a sreak knife and had to ask a bus person to get me one. Its a shame it could have been memory.

The restaurant was not prepared for the number of patrons. They ran out of pasta and Cesar salad. It was a graduation party, our group reservation was at 5:45p. A group of 16+ people, it was 2 hours before the first got their order. Some in the group traveled as far as Texas.
This place looked like it had real potential. Not sure what was off with this restaurant that night but the service was horrible and the food was mediocre.

Had a reservation at 730 and did not get served a single food item until almost 9. The food that was served was terrible. Some people in my party couldn’t even eat it. The flavors were just awful. My shrimp and filet were bland, my broccoli was raw and mashed potatoes was inedible! It appeared burnt and had a strange smokey flavor on it. We ended up going to a bar afterwards to eat some decent food. 😡

On April 13, I took a few out-of-town guests to Empire for a 5:30 reservation. It was not a very good experience on several levels. Our appetizers came out with the soup and salads. We did not have spoons for the soups and it took several minutes to get them. We were told our food would take quite awhile since there was a party in the back. The steaks came out and there were no steak knives delivered with them…..when requested, they took several minutes to get them out to us. One fillet, ordered medium rare, came out well. It was sent back and the other guests at the table were done eating before the replacement steak came out. It was taken off the bill as it would have been embarrassing to eat while others were finished. It was explained to me that the party required a lot of attention and that the manager resigned 3 days earlier, leaving things in disarray. Best advice….wait until they get a manager and do not make a reservation on a night that a party is in the back.

We had dinner tonight and the service was great and the atmosphere was enjoyable. Only complaint was the asparagus wasn't cooked well. Tough. But our waitress and the young man shadowing her were excellent Please thank her for running after me to give me my phone that I left on the table. Now that's service.
