A case of 'mis steakin' identity? Was there on a Friday night in January. Only a few tables had patrons while we were there. Our reservation was at 6 PM.First look you may think this is an upscale restaurant. However, typical of these types of places in small towns, they only live up to the hype in name or concept only.Decor nice, friendly, warm. Two fireplaces. Clean. Linen table cloths and napkins. All topped off with....brown paper table coverings. Ruins the (I believe) intended ambience by giving it a Roadhouse type feel. I had to look to see if peanut shells were acceptable on the floor here. I looked when I took off my sweater, because DAMN! It was hot. I was sweating with just my shirt on, and I'm usually very cold.As I said, our reservation was at 6 PM. We were quickly seated. Our table was preset. The waitress took forever to introduce herself to us. She was nice, happy, and polite. However, the service was VERY slow. It took us over three hours to eat our meal. I don't want to blame this on the waitress, as usually long food times are based on the kitchen. However, we frequently had empty drinks, and went long periods without seeing the waitress. As I previously stated, there were many more empty than full tables, so I don't know what the delay was.The menu is quite an anomaly. Here again, it's hard to see what the owners are trying to convey here. When I hear steakhouse, I expect to see many steak options on the menu. There were....three options. All of them plain: sirloin, ribeye, and strip. No size variations or other cut options. I felt like I was at Appleby's. Far more selections of pasta/seafood/chicken than steak. And what steakhouse doesn't offer baked potatoes and a filet option? Again, weird mashup/contradiction.Oh, wait, there's more. They did offer a filet as a "chef's special." That is what I initially ordered. Twenty minutes later, the waitress comes back and says that "they just served the last of the filet special."Mind you, the place wasn't even a quarter of the way full.I ended up choosing the strip steak. It was fair to poor at this price point. Thin cut, ordered medium, it was medium well. Chewy, fatty, and outside of whatever little garnish they put on the top with a sprig of rosemary, the steak had minimal flavor. The Texas Roadhouse signature sirloin is half the price and far better in every way. In fact, I would prefer it over this place in every area except decor.Wine selection was fairly plentiful. I have no problem spending $100 on a bottle of wine for a special occasion, however $55 for bottom shelf Cabernet is a rip off. At least charge less and disguise it with a corking fee.Desert was fair. I love peanut butter pie and the waitress could not stop raving about it. As I said, it was just...fair. I've had better pie at greasy spoons who have their mom bake them at home.Oh, another confusing Identity concept was the old lady on the piano trying to play contemporary music. Not the kind of selections you would expect from a place trying to be more fancy than it is. This establishment is not terrible, but is terribly confused and ill refined. In a bigger city, this concept would flop in short order. Since the other "upscale" option in Tiffin has fallen by the wayside since COVID, this place may just survive.

Tonight we were waited on by Tiffany. She was a great waitress until I asked that my rare steak be refired to medium like I had requested. She lost it and even went as far as to say she had waited on us previously and she knew I was asking so they would comp my meal like the last time. OMG! First of all our last waitress was Jamie. Secondly we have NEVER had our meal comped and I didn't ask for this one to be.( I just wanted a steak that I could eat) Third, who comps a $40 entree for for an undercooked steak just throw it back on the grill. I have my receipts and would love to bring them in to show proof that I have always paid for my meals. To insinuate such a thing was horrifying to me and my family. I appreciate that she made me feel like some scammer because I didn't want to eat a rare steak. She took my meal off the bill when I told her I would pay. I was done arguing so it is what it is. You may want to rethink allowing such behavior in the future.Picture is my rare steak after thr refire. It's still rare.

Great time! Chef Chris Demith recently updated the menu, keeping many of my favorites, adding new items. Everything was delicious. The service was was equally good! Thanks for a fun time.

Beautiful dining experience in Tiffin, Ohio! Upscale ambiance, nice diversity in the menu, great table side service. Wonderful pianist playing holiday tunes. Steak was cooked to perfection and the scallops were perfect!

I wanted to order the salmon dish on the menu but the chef wasn't serving that one, but one with pecans and maple. I did not want that and was slightly disappointed about having to something else.

Service was very quick and excellent. The food was amazing. We never sat in front of dirty dishes. The piano player was very talented. The view of the golf course was beautiful. Great experience! 10/10 recommend!

The food was amazing. The service was fantastic. The only problem was that we got there at about five min after our reservation time and the doors were still locked until almost twenty min after 5. We almost decided to leave.

We returned to our hometown & enjoyed a most enjoyable & delicious meal at Ironwood Steakhouse! My filet was so delicious- highly recommend!! I've eaten in steak restaurants from NYC to Chicago and this steak was equally, if not better ! The service was great! We loved the view of the golf course too! For non- meat eater, my partner had fish and equally enjoyed it ! Highly recommend when visiting Tiffin Ohio !!

Had another wonderful meal at the Ironwood SteakHouse. My older sister was visiting from out of town and she had an excellent meal, it was one of the evening specials, a cod dish with macadamia nuts. So, I invited my younger sister to join us. She and I had the sirloin steak, one well done (yuk) and mine rare. All the meals were to everyone's enjoyment. The ladies had creme brule for dessert. I find the Ironwood to be the consistent resturant in Tiffin. Will be returning.

Looking for above average meal and the reviews here were good. I'm sure glad I listened to those reviews. It did not disappoint. The braised pork shank was to die for, simply amazing. The steak was equally outstanding. The onions and button mushrooms were game changers. The smoked pork belly bao was outstanding. It had some very unique ingredients. Service was outstanding as well. The view of the golf course was pleasant. Will definitely be returning in the near future.

I had dinner with friends from Italy and their toddler. The staff was very accommodating for the toddler. Had a wonderful meal, New York Strip, Chicken Caprese, and the special, a half-rack of BBQ ribs. The toddler had Mac-N-Cheese and a special glass for her beverage. All the meals were excellent. Will be back again soon. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Lovely evening with friends. Just one very minor concern. The soup arrived after everyone else had finished their salad, almost when the entree arrived. Again it's a trivial thing.
