Coldwater is always outstanding. However, last night we were seated in the vault which was very cold--and I don't usually get cold. I had to put my winter coat across my legs. Also, our server may have had an off night. She was attentive and informative just not super happy to be at work. Food was perfect.
We only eat locally owned restaurants. This restaurant has to be on anyone's list. Been coming here three or four times a year for many years and have always had the best experience. Great ambience, Great food and Great service.
We took a friend who lives south of Dayton to Coldwater for his birthday. We had an excellent time. The food was very good and, as always, the service was excellent. We have found that a late afternoon reservation is perfect. The restaurant is quiet and there are enough open tables that you don't feel a need to rush. Our friend had a very good time and commented several times on the ambience. We stopped into the Bodega next door just to impress him with the wine selection...
