Stumbled across Agave & Rye while visiting the Dayton OH area. Was a very nice surprise! Atmosphere is super cool and unique, doesn't feel like you're in small town OH. The service was excellent, server did a great job! The food was good. The sticky cauliflower was fantastic! The Green Goddess was good, I thought it was a little dry but good flavor. If you're looking for something unique in the Troy area I highly recommend checking this place out

Well okayyyy Agave & Rye - here for it! I am in town on a work trip and convinced some co-workers to join me as another co-worker spoke highly. We were certainly not disappointed. We started with chips & queso, which checked the boxes. Then realized we were in the midst of happy hour, which meant discounted (and tasty!) margs as well as their epic tacos. Let me tell you, epic is an apt adjective! These puppies were massive, creative, and divine. I opted for The Becky . She was perfect, despite the slight debacle on figuring out the best way to consume it. Really loved the decor, too - funky and gorgeous and full of personality. The main reason we came here was for the Szechuan buttons. I was under the impression there was an option of it with a shot, but our waitress was unawares and only knew of their cocktail. That said, she was helpful and we ended up getting the buttons plus a shot of their house tequila to experiment with how it changed out pallette -- pretty rad little piece of nature! If I could make one recommendation, it would be to incorporate something like that on the menu as I reckon there would be plenty of demand.

Today I had a jalapeño pineapple margarita. It was one of the best drinks I've ever had! We also had corn Fritters with a spicy/sweet dip. Sooooo delicious! We each had burritos also. Our server was wonderful as always! This time on our bill we noticed a merchant fee. We asked our server and she said its something the owners came up with for business costs. She took the fee off our bill. We love Agave & Rye. We even drive from Springfield to eat there. The cost of drinks and food is pricier than other places we could go. We pay it because it's very different and good, but please don't charge us more.

This was our first time and it was the best. Rosie was our server not only was she very nice, but she was very knowledgeable and helpful and her service. The food was perfect. I loved it. I do recommend 10 out of 10.Kid-friendliness: Places to sell fun for kids there is a free arcade and you don’t have to die into use it

Look at your bill. They try to slip in a "merchant fee". When I questioned our server she said she was instructed to say it was to help keep the place open. Me patronizing your establishment is me helping to keep your place open. I refused to pay it and you should, too.

Went to agave and rye today and was seated and waited for 20 mins for any kind of service before we just left to go somewhere else. Waitresses were in and out of the room we were in and one even spent 5 minutes cleaning a table right next to ours. No one even glanced our way or took drink orders or even asked if we were ready. Walked out and likely won’t be back.

Stopped in for drinks and snacks after the eclipse. Our server was so amazing! Efficient and friendly. The drinks menu had changed, but now we have new favorites! Super fun place to take out of town family.
