I visited this location yesterday 10/6 and my total was $5.80. i did not tip. My bank notified me that it had been updated to $7.80 due to a tip. went there today 10/7 and they said "hm must have been an accident" I worked restaurant all my life and never have I ever "accidentally" put in a tip..i bet that server got to keep the tip too.

In my 45 years of being a customer at The Root Beer stand I have always had great service. Tonight though was not what we normally experience. We waited 45 minutes for our meal while those around us all got there food in timely manner. The excuse was the kitchen got back up while everyone else got there orders I find that unlikely. Finally, we got our food which was like Luke warm at best, no ice cream in my float. They did give us a 25% discount, which is fine. I know they can do better. We will go back and hopefully get the great service we have had before.

It used to be excellent, the quality has noticeably declined over time. The switch from fresh, hand-pattied burgers to pre-made patties has really changed the taste and texture — they just don’t have the same fresh flavor they once did, not to mention the rubber texture.
The Spanish dogs are another letdown. Lately, they’ve been coming out looking like they were sat on, which takes away from the appeal.
I truly miss the level of quality this place used to have and hope they can get back to what made it so good in the first place.

Good local diner. Service is always friendly. Make sure and get their Spanish dogs. Much better than Skyline.
I've been to B-K many times, and I've never once been disappointed! Their slauce dogs, fries, onion rings, and tenderloin sandwich are our favorites, but everything we've tried is always fresh and delicious!

Ran by teenagers. If one of them was an adult I could not tell. My friend mushrooms were burnt and I got the wrong polish sausage. I ordered a polish Ruben and got just mayo. Not once were we checked on and we ate inside at the counter. The girls were too interested in huddling together and talking . Maybe I caught a bad day but I probably won't be back.

EDIT: Just to warn my fellow customers, the last three visits I’ve had to point out where they’ve overcharged me. For example, charging me for Spanish hot dogs when I’ve ordered regular. The problem is they want to take your debit card and charge you before you’ve seen your bill. Not sure if this is lawful, I’ll have to look into it. So pay attention to what you’re being charged because most people probably don’t look, allowing them to make extra money off of people when their food is already overpriced to begin with.
