Great Whiskey. better people running it. visit is an absolute must.
An interesting and fun place to learn a little history of Troy, OH and sample some bourbons and rye. The producats are not distilled in Troy, but replicate the original mash bill as close as possible. The blind taste test is interesting and afterwards you can bottle your favorite. It is one of those small, off the beaten path, gems in Ohio.
Great surprise to find this place! I expect Hayner Distilling to become very well known for their fantastic Bourbon and Rye selections. I truly couldn’t decide which to purchase as they were all so great in the tasting. I decided on the Maple Bourbon and am not disappointed. A very great and high proof bourbon. Not overly sweet having been aged in maple syrup barrels, but just right for this guy. I like to say that I know some bourbon and whiskey producers take the short cut and add the maple syrup or honey directly to their whiskey, but Hayner does it right and pulls the flavors out of the barrel with a perfect aging. Kudos!
I've been to MANY distilleries across WV, TN, KY, PA, MD, & OH. Hayner has a very unique history starting in 1866 & I honestly believe they are gonna make new history, now they're back. Their product stands on its own & speaks for itself. My advice is to give them a visit or go to a distributor who handle their products. You won't regret it. Just remember the words "smooth" & "yummilicious".
Excellent depth of flavors and delicious products, and wonderful to work with. Very knowledgeable and friendly!
Fantastic to have an historically flavor-accurate bourbon with the Hayner name produced in its original town! The bourbon and rye are both very tasty and a worthy top-shelf addition to any collection!
Hayner Distilling is back and better than ever! This Troy OH staple will take you back in time to the early 1900s when Hayner was the largest mail order bourbon in the US. Though I was skeptical at first, their bourbon does not disappoint! It is a wonder to have such a high quality, top-shelf bourbon based out of a small suburban town.
I am part of the Hayner family and had an opportunity to purchase four dated bottles and my son bought four. I will take another field trip from Michigan to pick a few more.
Amazing. You have done an outstanding job of creating a very enjoyable whiskey. Can't wait to taste your rye and see what else you come up with in the future.Everyone at the brewery is very friendly and I hope in the future you are successful enough to have a tasting room.
I live in Florida, but since I am a distant relative of the original Hayner Distilling Company folks, I fully support and commend the efforts of the new generation of Hayner Distilling products - including the new ball cap with the distillery's new logo (which I have)!

Best Bourdon I've ever tasted. Welcome back after 100 year
It is so exciting to have Hayner Whiskey back! It is a smooth sipping bourbon that all bourbon fans should try!
A great, rebirthed product
I have to say that this may be one of the most noble endeavors in all of bourbon. The tedious and painstaking recreation of a seminal brand such as Hayner's is truly honorable, indeed. And to partner with one of - if not the - most trusted houses (Bardstown) to create this bourbon shows the true commitment to quality and preservation that the Hayner brand deserves.By the way, this is one hell of a fine bourbon.
Great Bourbon by an historic distillery. Makes Troy and Ohio proud.
