Was absolutely delicious.

This place is a disgrace to Japanese cuisine. My friends who used to live in Japan could not even finish the dish.

The arugula in the ramen was not washed properly, it was mostly yellow.

The chicken was fastfood grade frozen that is reheated.

They don’t even make their egg rolls from scratch they buy prepackaged rolls and just heat it up.

You are not paying for quality food probably paying for rent or mortgage and burger king quality

Speakeasy Miso is located in downtown Troy, Ohio. I really enjoyed my experience here. I particularly enjoyed the Jalapeño Popper Rangoons, the Sapporo, and the Hakata Ramen, as well as the Strawberry Cheesesteak Eggroll Ala Mode. The service here is world-class. Tyler is an excellent server

I took my 16 year old son here for the first time. He loved it. I did too.

Food was, fine, nothing special. The prices are awful though. I ordered a drink and they charged everyone at the table for it.

The food is great but I drove from Bradford to eat and got there at 8, they were suppose to close at 9 but we got there at 8 and they were closed, with people inside. Why the inconsistent hours?

Definitely a good experience

Found the place using the app. Had the grandkids with us. They also liked the food that’s saying a lot being that they are 4-11 years old 🤣🤣

Simply an amazing restaurant. Great ramen noodle and sushi choices! They always have a new drink or two to try as well!

Get the pork belly!!!!

Sooo, in a previous Houston’s Picks, I talked about how I was a fan of Speakeasy Ramen in Springfield. I had been hearing a lot about their sister restaurant, Speakeasy Miso in Troy, so I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, it didn’t go as expected.

Miso is a nice open space w/ plenty of seating unlike their older sister Ramen. However, that is where the compliment ends. We decided to start w/ cocktails and an appetizer. Friend one is a fan of the espresso martini and was intrigued that this one mentioned having a little sesame oil drizzled on top. I went w/ a classic, the lemon lavender martini. We decided to split the loaded crab Rangoon fries. The look of the espresso martini was not great. It did not have the rich dark color of an espresso martini. It looked more like brown water. At first sip, friend one was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the sesame oil. However, after a couple more sips, the pleasantness disappeared. The martini was too sweet and reminded friend one of tea instead of espresso. At first sip of my martini, it was a no go. It was missing the freshness of lemon juice and I did not get any lavender at all. As we moved on to the fries, we had high hopes since Speakeasy Ramen had one of the best crab rangoons I had ever tasted. I figured, put crab rangoon atop a fry, it should be exceptional, right?.....no. Although we both appreciated that waffle fries were used as the vessel and they were fried nicely, the parmesan cheese was totally unnecessary and there was not enough sirracha and the fries were overpowered by the sweet chili oil. Thus, it caused the taste of the crab Rangoon to get lost.

When it came to ordering the main course, they had about six ramen bowls to choose from and some other main dishes. Friend one ordered the Hakata ramen which consisted of: Pork tonkotsu broth, noodles, topped with chashu pork shoulder, brined egg, bamboo, bok choy, scallion, woodear mushroom, narutomaki, and black garlic oil. When it arrived, it looked like it was lacking some ingredients. When looking at the photos online, what was received did not match. Also, the bowl was not filled. Friend one initially enjoyed the broth and thought it had a nice right flavor, but found the pork belly to be salty. After continuing to eat, friend one also felt there was too much garlic oil as there was a lot floating on the top. I really wanted a ramen bowl, but they were mostly pork or chicken broth-based. I was not in the mood for the thai coconut ramen which seemed to be the only nonmeat-based broth. Also, I inquired if perhaps instead of pork or chicken being in the ramen, could I have shrimp. I was told that they no longer carried shrimp??????? I decided to order the sushi ball aranchi which consisted of: Cream cheese, roasted salmon, and crab mix surrounded with sushi rice, tempura battered and deep-fried, topped with spicy mayo, sweet soy, and sesame seeds. Three huge softball-sized aranchi balls came to the table. After the first bite, I had to stop. It was so salty to me. Friend one didn’t taste a lot of salt, but felt the rice was severely undercooked. After the salt bomb I had last week, I could not do it again, so I had to do something I absolutely HATE. I had to send it back and I ended up also getting the Hakata ramen. It was just meh. I was happy to see the pork belly (hello, old friend), although one of my pieces was all fat. It did seem like the broth was missing something and had too much garlic oil. With the warmer weather coming in, perhaps the season of ramen is over.

Bottom line, if you want a really good ramen, stick w/ the older sister in Springfield, Speakeasy Ramen.

Food was delicious and the atmosphere had a cool vibe. Tyler, our server, was awesome!

Drink was great. The 4 crab Rangoons were lacking for $9 and not hot. Ramen bowls are pretty small for $18, got 3 small pieces of fried pork in mine. Broth was great and the taste of the ramen was good. Just severely overpriced for an average experience dressed as a high class experience.

Miso is one of my favorite restaurants, I absolutely love their Tokyo ramen. The service was a little on the slow side but was overall great, the waitresses were so nice and I look forward to coming back!

Had a really nice time with speakeasy. Very great tasting ramen with a fun aesthetic and general vibe. Cocktails seemed fun but were out of budget for me.
