This place has atmosphere and charm. It’s a nice day outside and they let you legally take a drink to go. This place is within what’s called a DORA zone in Troy where you can take a walk and enjoy the nice warm day walking around the square.

Came here for my girlfriend’s birthday and our server Erin was the most attentive and charismatic server I’ve had in a very long time. We didn’t even mention my girlfriend’s birthday outright, but Erin happened to overhear us and brought out cake and whipped cream without question. Her smile definitely brightened our day. Incredible service.

Super bummed over our experience tonight. Made a reservation, arrived a few minutes early and were seated right away (winning) then waited over 15 minutes before even being offered water. Ordered drinks and then when asked if we wanted apps we were rushed by being asked if we wanted to order our food as well. Had not received bar drinks yet, barely got our waters and it ruined the entire evening. Ended up asking the server to cancel our order and left. I want to at least get our app order in so all our food doesn't arrive at the same time. After several wonderful meals at The Caroline, I'm not sure we will return.

Came here to celebrate my birthday tonight with my husband. Anticipating a beautiful dinner on the patio and was completely disappointed. The food was descent but our waitress made our experience miserable. She seemed annoyed and bothered and not interested in making our dinner experience a good one. She never checked back to see if we needed anything. My husband had to ask in front of her if I needed another drink. It was a very slow night and that was not an issue. Unfortunately we made a mistake by choosing this as our destination for a nice birthday evening out. We receive better service at a lower economical restaurant than we did tonight! We will not be returning anytime soon.

New York strip was amazing, my husband got the Rib eye which was also amazing. Sautéed onions with the steaks, I got a side of latkes which came with Sriracha sour cream. So so good! French onion soup, tangled onion rings... everything was great! Their drinks were amazing, too! Definitely one to keep in the date night rotation!

Moved to the area a year ago and have been looking for a delicious burger, I have finally ended my search! The sweet potato fries were amazing! My husbands steal and shrimp was phenomenal. Hands down some of the best food in town. We can’t wait to go back and try new stuff.
The ladies in the front could have looked a little more alive and cheerful or welcoming as we walked in. I did ask if there was a dress code (because where I come from, some upscale vibed places do require a dinner dress code) they didn’t seem to confidently give me a yes or no. So we kinda had to scope it out and see what the vibe was. No dress code is required to my knowledge (was literally in jeans and a band tee) but most folks were dressed up a little. Service was quick and our waitress was super friendly. Over all we had a great experience. Apparently it’s best to make reservations.
