Mavis Winkle’s Irish Pub

Food and service was good. I went to pay with a gift card that was older they said they can't accept it. I was a manager for 40 years and I would have honored it to make a customer happy. Don't tell me there is NOTHING YOU CAN DO! The gift card was the only reason I went there in the first place. What has has to customer service and intelligent management that can make a decision. Never again.

I was attending a family luncheon on Tuesday, October 7th, around 12:30, 6 attendees. I've been to Mavis Winkles occasionally. Everyone in the group agreed the food was excellent and the portion sizes were good. Reasonable prices too. The service was excellent. I will continue to come back.

Nearby Dr. Snelson recommended this restaurant-my friend and I had never been. Our waiter Robert, Who has been at the restaurant For 23 years, went over the top, including being unflappable when we spilled an entire bottle of root beer and ice and broke The glass on the table.. He was everything away and served us a great meal. My friend had fish and I had shepherds pie. I even ordered their. Bread pudding to go it looked and smelled so good. I don’t think it’s going last long. I highly recommend the restaurant it’s a little off the main drive so keep your eyes peeled or look it up on Google.

Overall the atmosphere was nice, pretty much what you'd expect from an American Irish pub. The service was good, it was quick. The food was good. My husband loved his burger and chips. I was disappointed by my corned beef and cabbage. As someone who has corned beef every chance I get, I've tried a LOT. This place had very little flavor in their corned beef. They definitely need to let their corned beef sit in the brine longer or add more spices if they make their own. If not, they need a new supplier. The mashed potatoes, however, were top tier. Very flavorful and creamy. And the pretzel appetizer was VERY good as well. They also over charge for regular, non-alcoholic drinks.

Rocco had our entire table laughing. He’s truly a great server! Food was delicious and accurate! We are from out of town, but if we visit again, we’ll absolutely come back!
