Wife and I had a great time there and we laughed rather than got peeved of the food: the server said New England Clam chowder (not New England clam and corn chowder) was one of the soups of the day. I ordered only to find the corn interfering with my enjoyment of the few pieces of clam in the soup. Wife orders a salad that came with a mini baguette and instead got a mini slice of a baguette toasted with butter. Those are the little things that make a restaurant and a new one at that, to smell of skimpiness and sneakiness. If Panera can be honest, so can Mavis, I think.

We called in to see if they were open. they said yes their kitchen was open until nine so we came in at 8:30. They then told us they were closed. We wouldn’t have made the trip if they had told us they were going to be closed on the phone. It was a waste of gas and time.

Above average in quality, presentation, taste, and sides.. A little pricey, but you get what you are willing to pay for ..

This place appears to not exist… got directions And upon arrival it was nowhere to be found… not sure what happened. Also, yes, I’m sure I was in the right spot.

Access to Mavis Winkles wasn't great in my wheelchair. The limited handicapped parking wasn't particularly close, and the doorways were rather narrow. Once inside we were greeted by friendly people and very good food. I had the Irish Spring roll appetizer along with corned beef and cabbage. Both were outstanding. Others at the table enjoyed their meals as well. Prices were a little steep but good enough that I will be back.

I’m not sure why they asked the temperature of the hamburger. My “medium” was charred black and dry. The medium wings were not even slightly spicy. The food was ordered for 5:30 pickup and ready closer to 5:20–so not hot at all when I picked up. I was so looking forward to a good burger. Disappointing

Interesting menu. The food was good! We had tacos and the Reuben egg roll it was all very tasty. Our compliments to the chef on the Scotch eggs... they are excellent! The best Scotch eggs we've ever had!

I love the atmosphere. The service was exceptional. The owner came to talk with us. He is a delightful guy. The menu is full of amazing options. Ed knows how food should taste. The experience is worth the time. Just off the highway.
