The food was very bland, little to no flavor and nothing like what the food usually is in other places, too expensive for the smallest proportions, it is better to make it homemade, the flavor is not at all like actual Venezuelan food.

Today I had an amazing lunch at Abuela's! The food was delicious, service was great, and I was absolutely satisfied with their transparency and willingness to accommodate my child's food allergies. We rarely get to eat out due to the allergies, so finding a place that is willing to kindly serve us despite my child's restrictions AND have great food is something we cherish. Thanks so much Abuela's, we look forward to visiting again soon.

We had an incredible meal at a fair price with good ingredients, flavor, and service. The restaurant came highly recommended and I can see why. We ended up ordering extra for at-home later. Arepa’s & Cachapa’s were both great, so were the drinks. The Latin Feast entree was well worth it…yes I tried them all 🤷🏻♂️😂

Delicious food, friendly and fast service, with flavors that are hard to find in this part of Ohio. Well done!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars – Nacho average snack stop.
Stopped into Abuela’s Kitchen for a “quick snack” and left spiritually fulfilled. The nachos? Absolutely loaded—like they took every flavor in the kitchen and said, “Vamos!” into one glorious, melty mountain. TIP: Get the pork. I don’t know what kind of magic Abuela is working back there, but I’m 90% sure it’s slow-cooked in love and possibly unicorn tears.
Service was warm and welcoming, like being adopted by someone else’s grandma for an hour. By the end of the meal, I wanted to hug the staff and ask if they had any extra bedrooms.
Don’t miss this hidden gem. Just be warned: their “snacks” might ruin all other meals for you. 🌮🔥
Awesome food, friendly and helpful staff, quick to correct a small order mistake. Great vegetarian options, including foods I’ve never tried before.

Wonderful vegetarian options for folks like my husband and me. The flavors were off the charts! The staff was very kind and the interior colorful. We make an effort to support local businesses and this one is worth visiting! 💙
Wonderful Venezuelan restaurant on the main square in Urbana. Brightly decorated and very friendly staff. Daily specials, solid menu and some Venezuelan dishes that are absolutely delicious.
There is room inside for about 30 people, three tables outside, and they seem to be able to handle at least a party of ten effectively as long as there are seats. The staff are excellent - they know the dishes, can explain what things are and the food comes out hot from the kitchen.
Went here for Father's Day and the food was excellent. The Criollo dish I had was perfectly spiced and the fried white corn fritters were a perfect complement to the black beans and spicy eggs.
Three full meals plus beverages for under $45 is a steal these days.

First thought it was Tex-Mex but found it is Venezuelan.

I have stoped in here a couple of times and it’s such a great place to grab a meal. The inside is vibrant and colorful and everyone is very friendly. We are lucky to have this type of food so close because there are not a ton of Venezuelan restaurants around.
