Very friendly staff and the food is excellent! We had to compliment the chef before we left! Definitely will frequent Gandalf’s whenever we travel to Valley City.

Gandalf's is an enjoyable place to eat. Who would guess that Valleyview, Ohio would have an Irish themed restaurant. They do not limit their menu to Irish fare, though. Their specials will surprise you with their creativity. I like to eat on their shady patio or porch, but you might like the pub feel of the bar. Check out their website for the live music schedule.

Gandalfs was by far the most hospitable restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of going to. My friend and I called ahead with a very specific request. We sadly had to say goodbye to our dog the next day and wanted him to enjoy a cheeseburger for his last meal. Not only were the owner and employees at gandalfs very accommodating of this, they were kind enough to ensure we had the best table for him, they were patient with him (and us) and overall just whole heartedly empathetic. They even had the generosity of covering the price of our meal which was far too kind. To top it all off it was the best burger I’ve ever had. Nothing but top stars for everyone there, you’ll be hard pressed to find another place that does hospitality like they do. Thank you so much to the team over there. You really made a hard day much easier.

Food was great. Service was good. I don't know if it was my fault or theirs but I somehow only got 1 refill. Maybe I zoned out, everything else was great. Sat on the deck since it wasn't stupid hot like it is back home. If I'm ever in Cleveland area again I would t say no to going here.

Good nice warm atmosphere. Music on Fridays. Average overpriced food. A salad, a burger, 1 soda, and 1 beer is $70

A friend and I decided to try a new place today , cute little spot in Medina County, our server Holly helped answering our questions and got us some t-shirts. Food met expectations. Will definitely be back (:

We were looking for a dog friendly patio on our way home from the giant Medina dog park and Gandalf's did not disappoint! The patio was cute and shaded, our server brought out a nice bowl of ice water for our dog Archie and gave him lots of attention! The food - fries, burger, wings and salmon boxty were delicious!

I had been wanting to go here for a long time and finally did for lunch. The menu has something for everyone. I had a special for lunch. A pub burger and fries. It was $9.00. It was cooked as I specified and was huge. The flavor of it was amazing. The s we rice was great as well as the atmosphere. We had a booth in the back and I definitely will return.
