Lets start with the absolute amazing staff. Every time my wife and I come through the doors we are always greeted with a welcoming smile. The venue seats generally fast even without a reservation. I would suggest during dinner time a reservation for quick seating, but it is not necessary. Food is amazing. I have not had a bad meal here yet. I have been there for lunch and dinner. The best part is the menu changes every so often. So, when you go back it may not be the same menu that you had before. The Presentation of the food is part of the experience as well. The server will tell you what wine or cocktail will go best with the meal you have chosen. Then will go into detail on how to best enjoy the meal you have selected. There is no wall between the chefs and the dining hall. What does that mean? You see it all, the waitress moving in and out with the trays and the chefs making and cooking the food. Everything is local sourced. They pride themselves in the fact they are farm to plate. I would suggest anyone who is looking for a great meal to give this place a try.

My wife and I had an excellent time celebrating here. A restaurant in Ohio worth traveling to. If you're in Columbus, Cincinnati, or Indianapolis, trust me. Make the trip.

Absolutely phenomenal farm to table restaurant in the middle of rural OH. They make everything from scratch.

My mother and I had the quiche, fries, poke bowl, burger, and salad. Best meal I’ve had in a while, and I come from a big city with lots of choices. Today’s meal blew me away. And their cocktail list is to die for.

Prices are also extraordinary here! I couldn’t believe the low cost for the amazing food I was served.

Fantastic experience each time I go. Every dish I have tried has been creative and delicious. I have especially loved the salmon and the scallops. The bourbon selection is top notch. Amy is a wonderful and knowledgeable server who clearly has a passion for making sure her guests have a great experience. Highly recommend!

Didn't like the steak it was not cooked right and the spicy sauce they put on it was very hot. The waitress was awesome, she took the steak of the bill.

Listen up, Versailles - and everyone within a 200-mile radius who claims to know good food.
I just experienced what can only be described as a religious awakening disguised as a 22oz ribeye at Silas, and I’m not even sorry for the hyperbole. This isn’t just dinner; this is proof that miracles still happen in small-town Ohio.
THE STEAK: Sweet mother of all that is holy and bovine - this ribeye was a star-spangled MASTERPIECE. Pre-cut (yes, THANK YOU for not making me saw through perfection like some medieval peasant), marinated to the point where angels wept, and with a crust so crispy it should be registered as a controlled substance. The inside? Tender enough to cut with harsh language, juicy enough to make you question every other steak you’ve ever eaten. The spice blend was like a symphony conducted by your taste buds - each herb taking its turn to absolutely DEMOLISH your expectations before gracefully stepping aside for the next flavor explosion.
THE SIDES: Charcoaled corn that actually tasted like corn (revolutionary concept, apparently), beets that didn’t taste like dirt for once in their miserable existence, and wild-caught mushrooms fried in what I can only assume was liquid gold infused with lemon and dreams. The oil was so clean I’m convinced they change it after every order. The portions? GENEROUS doesn’t begin to cover it. I’m pretty sure they’re operating at a loss just to bless our unworthy palates.
THE CONTROVERSY: Here’s where I’ll lose some of you - I’m convinced Midmark (yes, the medical equipment company) is secretly subsidizing this place because there is NO WAY food this extraordinary should cost this little in today’s economy. It’s either corporate benevolence or actual witchcraft, and honestly, I don’t care which.
THE SERVICE: George. GEORGE! This man deserves a congressional medal of honor. I tipped him 33% and it still felt inadequate. The atmosphere wasn’t just pleasant - it was transcendent. I felt like I was dining in the secret chamber where all the world’s best chefs go to cry tears of inadequacy.
THE BOTTOM LINE: If you can’t get a reservation here, keep trying. If they offer subscription reservations (and if you’re within driving distance), SIGN UP IMMEDIATELY. This place is going to be impossible to get into once word spreads.
To the inevitable haters in the comments: Yes, I’m being dramatic. No, I don’t care. Sometimes you encounter something so magnificent that measured responses feel like an insult to the experience.
Silas has ruined me for all other restaurants, and I’ve never been happier to be destroyed.
Would I go back? I’m already planning my funeral here because I want my last meal to actually be worth remembering.

Great for a business meeting, a nice dinner date, or upscale drinks. Atmosphere is superb, bathrooms are clean, and the location is nice. Some of the food combinations are a little much, but nice to try. I had grilled chicken with rice, coconut, some type of asian sauce, and plantains so it was quite a lot of different stuff. I also prefer simple but good sometimes. Our charcuterie board was very nice, and my wife said her burger was one of the best, and it was very juicy.

We celebrated my husband’s 50th at Silas and it was unforgettable! From the warm “Happy Birthday” greeting to our beautiful window seat, everything felt special.

Our server, Amy, was amazing—knowledgeable, friendly, and made us feel cared for. Drinks were outstanding (the Sangria and Moscow Mule are must-tries!) and the Detroit cheesy bread was the perfect start.

The salmon was delicious, and the Miyazaka Wagyu A5 was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. To top it off, the espresso crème brûlée with chocolate ice cream was the perfect birthday dessert.

The whole evening flowed flawlessly with impeccable timing and service. Silas isn’t just dinner—it’s an experience. We can’t wait to go back!
