Food was average at best, except bread was very good. Two of the meals-broiled fish and chicken parm- were way overcooked and dry. Hummus had no flavor at all. The large house salad (primarily iceberg lettuce) was very oily before side salad dressing was added, and for some odd reason was covered in raisins. The server did not record the order when taken and got one of the entree orders completely wrong. Live music was present but was so loud our table of 4 could not hear the conversation without talking very loudly or still couldn't hear. Will not be returning.

We just love the atmosphere, the music and the general feeling is very relaxing and the overall cleanliness is wonderful ,they also clean the menus daily, love Cafe 422. The absolute best waitress Tiffany, she is such a hard worker and is VERY attentive and detail oriented and helpful, can't praise her enough!!! The food is great and the service is exceptional! Thanks to ALL that make it a GREAT experience!! Appreciate it!

I've always loved cafe 422. We used to eat there with my great-grandparents. I never remember a bad meal. It's always been consistently good. I love the atmosphere. it's clean, beautifully decorated for every occasion, very inviting and relaxing. I might add, that I've never had a bad server, or had to wait very long for my meal. (My favorite meal is, most definitely the Chicken francaise)

Got take out, chicken francaise, the chicken was not very good, it was very dry and had a weird texture, the sauce was too salty, the bread was excellent, but when the bread is the highlight of your dinner, it's disappointing. Would not recommend.

Had a wonderful funeral luncheon today. Had the chicken Francese and it was delicious and amazing. I would give them a 4.8 overall because the banana cream pie was not good at all.

Staff is entirely too busy to address someone clearly standing in their restaurant waiting to pick up an order, on a SUNDAY, and nobody was in the restaurant to be served, but they could all stand around and act busy and watch me standing there. I probably will not return. Do better as a business.

Madeline was by far the highlight of our experience. The food is amazing. My partner was so excited that my employer, Steelite gifted us a dining experience at Cafe 422. He grew up there, me being from Youngstown it was my first time, the food was perfect. But Madeline was superb.
