It was my first time here. It took 20 minutes for my hot Latte. I ordered a Decaf, Pot of Gold Latte with Oat Milk. I'm not sure what it was, but it had no taste or flavoring. They were extremely busy, and I didn't bother to have them correct this.

TL;DR: It took 10 minutes to get a cappuccino because there were only (seemingly?) two people working.It's a bunch of little things about this place that annoy me. I really really want to like it. The interior is cute, and its very close to my house. I like coffee. Their breakfast tastes good. Staff is always friendly. Prices are a tad bit high (+$1.05 for oat milk? cmon man...)But dear lord, the service is SLOW. And its not the employee's fault. Every time I've went, they're running a skeleton crew. Multiple times there's one person taking orders, making a queue of 5 customer's drinks, and grabbing people's food out of the back.Espresso machines are fiddly, and thats fine. I don't mind waiting a few minutes - but today it was over 10. While waiting, a customer came in, stood around for 30 seconds, saw that no one was in the front to take an order, looked at the line of 4 people waiting on their food/drinks, and then she walked out the door. A missed sale. Other days, I've waited >20 minutes for two waffle meals. They've changed their hours to be only open 4 days a week. Management desperately needs to hire more people. And the little payment kiosk always has the audacity to ask for a tip...

43 minutes to make a chicken salad sandwich and bacon/ egg biscuit with two orders in front of me and zero food orders in between. WOW very disappointed in the service BUT the chicken salad was delicious and their coffee is really good too. Maybe I just caught them on a lazy Friday afternoon, but I must reflect the experience I received in my reviews. I also felt bummed that you must order and pay for your meal ahead of time and pay at a register, so was eating in so I tipped well… won’t make that mistake again for I received very lousy service. I bet this place is great for some folks but you may just have to catch the staff on a good day. I would just stick to ordering their coffee… it’s fantastic.

WOW. Amazing coffee and even better customer service! I ordered a pound of the Strudel and a pound of the Butter Rum coffee. Unfortunately, they were sold out of the Strudel and although she certainly didn’t have to- due to the inconvenience - they gave me a pound of the Sugar Cookie for free! The Sugar Cookie was delicious and so flavorful, I cannot wait to try the Strudel. The Butter Rum was also so flavorful and smooth! There were issues with the software I used to place the order and Lisa drove all the way to my house to deliver my order herself. She even threw in a few cookies for free which were SO GOOD! The cookies were moist and tasted like my grandma literally just got done whipping them up.I highly recommend this coffee shop to all coffee and sweets lovers! A local gem. We are lucky!

The staff is friendly & helpful. They make you feel welcome.The coffee is great & so is the food! The coffee/gelato flights are excellent! I look forward to seeing them post the new flavors for each month! There's a nice selection of coffee's to purchase to make at home. The seating is really nice too. There are several sofas to get comfy in too! There's also outdoor seating. If you enjoy great coffee, food & atmosphere then a visit to The Howland Bean should be on your list!

This was my first time here. I came specifically to try the Mexican Mocha. I got the iced my daughter went later and got the same but as a latte. The service was great, however, I got someone who wasn't the usual berista. She was helpful and very sweet but not sure how to make it. It was my first time trying this drink so I wasn't sure how exactly it should taste. My daughter got the regular berista. I also tried hers. In comparison, hers was spicier. Perfect, I thought. And hers was a bit sweeter. I also thought it was perfectly sweetened. However, both could have been a bit creamier. Atmosphere was nice. I am looking forward to going back to try more items and they gave coffee flights!!!! I am definitely going back to try that! Would highly recommend. Also, I am looking forward to trying some of their food items.
