Authentic, unique and fresh food. Outstanding customer service.
I have been a major fan of this restaurant since they opened, their lunch deals are affordable, their dinners are great portions, and their tacos are authentic.
Recently the staff (I believe Junie is his name) went above and beyond. We placed a door dash order on a Saturday night, and kept getting notifications our order was delayed. Almost an hour later I received a phone call from the restaurant letting me know that our food had been ready for a long time and that door dash still had not showed up. Even though it was close to closing time for them the Whaka staff made our food fresh again and even offered to deliver themselves. We opted to make the drive ourselves and they had loaded up our to go order with all kinds of extras, as well as our freshly made order.
This is why you support local businesses, these guys are the best, we couldn't be happier to have whaka in our community.

Just never been super impressed with the food. The only thing that brings me in is their street corn, but for the price, nothing there is really worth it. If you want goood and reasonably priced Mexican food around here, go to El Taco Feliz. You will not regret it.

My daughter and I have been wanting to try this place since it opened and hearing all the hype about it. We stared off with chips, salsa, elote corn and guacamole. The guacamole was nothing but avocado crushed up. No cilantro, lime salt or anything. Just plain avocado. Huge disappointment. The elote corn was nothing like true Mexican Elote Corn.
Are main course was my daughter had the Birria Tacos. My other daughter had the Beef Tacos. And I had the Birria Quesadilla. The flavors were not there. My daughter is Hispanic and was truly disappointed. Our meal was a little over $70. The disappointment was so bad it wasn’t worth no where near that. Usually we would try a second time but at this prices will not.

We’ve been here a handful of times and the first couple after they opened it was good but these last few times the food wasn’t that great. Tonight will probably be a last for us. Food was hard to eat. Dried out meat & the verde sauce tasted like straight cilantro.

Ordered a birria quesadilla and there was literally hardly any meat on it and what was on it was several uneatable chunks of fat. It was absolutely disgusting. My daughter’s kids meal was the smallest taco on earth and she was still hungry. With tip lunch cost $93 for my family of 4. I never said a bad word to the staff just paid the bill and left. I never leave bad reviews but it was awful.

Crazy good, pricey but worth it. I just wish I got a bit more shrimp on my tacos that's my only complaint.

We have gotten Wahaka taco for take out three times now. It's definitely hit or miss. The first time was excellent. Second time was decent. Little confusion at drive through window but it happens. No biggie.
The last time everything was kinda of a mess. No one was at the drive through window, so went in. Not a big deal, but maybe a sign in the window would have been nice. Checked my bag. Missing my side that came with meal. Expo girl seemed stressed (we all have been there) and when I asked about the side just seemed short with me. Get home and the kids meal was pretty much ruined. The Carmel sauce cup got melted and spilled all over my child's quesadilla. I feel like these maybe should be packaged differently? When I tried calling at 6:30 the phones were turned off. The food is delicious and I'm glad we have something new in the area. But there are still several kinks they need to work out.
Also not sure if it's just me, but the online ordering gets a little confusing sometimes.
Just trying to bring this to the owners attention is all. ?

I think this establishment is cozy, and very clean…and some of the foods are grrreat…! specifically the corn taco’s really. I must say tho Wahaka Taco is too..! expensive with the tacos for how small they are. Also the rice & Beans are awfully..! bad…it doesn’t taste like Mexican authentic cooked food. I’ve worked in a Mexican restaurant (Plaza Agave)and that’s what you call Mexican authentic food.? You guys have to do better with your pricing and the rice & beans that’s being prepared and sold to customers such as myself. I don’t think I will ever order again from Wahaka Taco’s only because of the pricing on the taco’s and the definitely, because of the rice & beans. If ever I slip up and order it will only be for the taco’s because I do love them..great taste and everything that is put on the taco’s are em’em’em good.

Everything is good but the portions are lacking. Not the actual size of the meals but the balancing. My father ordered shrimp tacos and each little one was 95% cabbage and about 5 shrimp. 3 small pieces no bigger than a fingernail. My mother and I have chimichangas which to me was pretty decent, but again, lots of cabbage. The side I started from was delicious but when I got to the last 1/4 of it, it was all vegetable like no rice or chicken left just lots of cabbage and whatever else was in it.
Overall I think it was a good experience and would recommend! Food hot and the drinks are cool!
