I come here for lunch weekly and dinner a few times a month. The food is amazing. 15 minutes max. It’s authentic. One of those truly mom and pop places where the food is amazing and plenty. Not sure why it has a 3 star. Some are hard to please.

We have always had a good experience at this location! Our favorite local Chinese restaurant. Food is always fresh and ready fast.

TL;DR: This place is way underrated! Generous portions, well-seasoned food, and great quality. The inside isn’t the most appealing, but the clean kitchen and amazing food make up for it. Ordering online worked smoothly for me, and service was fast (though it may vary during busy times). Many bad reviews are outdated—things have likely improved. Definitely give it a shot!
I don’t understand why this place has such a low rating—definitely don’t listen to the 1-star reviews. One complaint mentioned a sticker on the food, which is valid, but it really seems like the restaurant has taken the feedback to heart and improved. My experience was absolutely amazing, and the food was great!
The portions here are generous, the food is well-seasoned, and everything is cooked perfectly. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken, and it was easily enough for two meals. I also got the Crab Rangoon, which were crispy and delicious. They don’t skimp on portions or quality, which is a rare find.
Now, about the restaurant itself—admittedly, the inside isn’t the most appealing. There were only a couple of tables, a lot of boxes for takeout containers stacked around, and the pictures of the menu items weren’t the best quality or well-lit. But honestly, none of that really mattered to me. The kitchen looked clean, which is what’s most important. If they wanted to improve the atmosphere, fixing these small things would help, but at the end of the day, the food is what counts, and they do that well.
After reading other reviews, it seems like ordering over the phone might not be the best way to go. I personally ordered online through their website, and everything went smoothly. I haven’t tried calling in, so I can’t speak to that experience, but if you're unsure, online ordering seems like the safest bet. Also, I went at a time when it wasn’t busy, so I got my food pretty quickly. I’m not sure how fast service is during peak hours, but for me, it was great.
One thing to note is that a good portion of the negative reviews are from many years ago, so things may have changed. If you’re on the fence, I’d say give this place a shot—you might be surprised!
All in all, this place is a hidden gem and should be rated much higher. I’ll definitely be coming back!
I love this family ❤️ Their food is pretty good too! If you like Chinese you should come here, the food is great and it is a family business. Order online and come pick it up, easy peasy.
I placed an order over the phone (after calling over 20 times in order for them to answer), when they finally answered I placed my order and asked for the total which she would not give me because they said she said they were too busy. Then she told me it would be about an hour maybe longer because they were so busy and I was willing to wait because we love this place. So, I ran some errands then about 45 minutes later go to the location only to find out they closed for the day. I’m assuming because they had too many orders and not enough employees, so basically I wasted 45 minutes waiting on food that I was never going to get. I always eat at Dragon One it’s our only Chinese restaurant we go to, but now I’m highly considering switching due to this situation. It was highly unprofessional and I believe I deserved at least a courtesy call to let me know that they were closing or they should’ve at least fulfilled the orders that customers had placed.
And as for your reply, I’m an adult I don’t have time for nonsense like that. Not to mention you have your date wrong. Not a fake customer and not a fake review. All truth. And a loyal customer at that. If you’re trying to save face I get it but do not accuse me of actions I had no part of and try and damage my character as a human being. An apology or call from someone with an explanation will do in order to make us loyal customers again.
Got take out and ordered several things to try despite the 3.2 rating, which I believe is probably fair or a little generous. Started with crab rangoon which are delicious, good amount of filling and crispy. Moved onto egg roll, a HUGE NO! Filling was disgustingly mushing and grey, screamed food poisoning. Sesame chicken and white rice was good. Nothing special, what you would expect from a chain Chinese restaurant.

This is my go to spot when I want something quick. Whether it's call in, door dash, or ordered online.. the food is always fresh and hot. My go to is the roast pork and broccoli and the hot and sour soup! I am so picky when it comes to hot and sour soup at Chinese restaurants. I always order it when I feel sick and Dragon 1 is the place! Never been disappointed with this place. It's quick, close by, the lunch menu is so affordable, and the owners are so nice!

Eaten here at least 5 times in the past year. Clean establishment, freshly cooked with good size portions. Online order is a hit or miss. Ordered and got there at the time it specified and it wasn't even started. They weren't busy, nobody was in there but they were preapring a couple of uber eats orders. The woman apologized they didn't realise an order came over. It was made with 15 minutes. Asked for sweet and sour sauce and she explained it only comes with full order crab ragoons. I had waited 40 minutes for my food so I wasn't going to argue. She couldn't ask me to pay for it but all she stated is it didn't come with my meal.

I got very very sick for two days following my meal from Dragon one, and I would seriously hesitate to order again because of this - my roommate, who ordered the same meal that eveningthe very same experience - very, very unpleasant …
If i could give it 0 i would. Would never recommend this place. Food is salty, and attitude towards customers is nasty.

I tried Dragon 1 for the first time and the service was fast and friendly (I ordered a carry-out via phone). The food was OK. It's your average fast food Chinese. Not the best I've ever had but definitely not the worst. I will say that $8.75 for the lunch special is a good deal when most places are up to $13 - $15 for entrees these days. Here's why I won't be back.....when you walk in the door it's like I stepped back in time to 2020 in the middle of the pandemic. They obviously used to have tables and chairs because the chairs are lined around the walls. They are also using that area for storage because there's a gazillion brown boxes full of plastic food containers lining the walls as well. So it's just a big counter and a small empty dining area with stacked boxes and old chairs. The counter is covered in plexiglass that's been there long enough to be cloudy and smeared with cleaning products. It's extremely uninviting and it's 2024 so let's get rid of the plexiglass now. The floor was covered in parking lot salt/dirt 15 minutes after they had opened so it was never cleaned from the day before and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days. If they aren't cleaning that area, are they cleaning their kitchen? The restaurant looks old and greasy, and really needs updating. Value or not, I can't go back.

We don't order takeout very often but Dragon 1 is the first place we think of. We have a saved order and it's always fantastic!
