Food is below average. Not able to compare with Udupi/ sharavana Bhavan or any other restaurant like that. Staffs doesn’t know the meaning of “hospitality and customer care”

I ordered two dinner items and was told it would take thirty minutes for take out, I gave my number and was not called. I went in to check myself and the food was done and it was almost cold already. The food was a bit bland too, doesn’t stack up to our local favorites.
The chicken tikka masala was too spicy even though we asked for zero spice. The goat curry was watery and just a bit bland.

Special Scam: they’ll put convenience fee in your bill. When I asked they said that’s a card fee which I never heard before)
Edited: look at the owners cheap response, I hope you put this effort in cooking good food. Try to serve yogurt not a sour cream. And go and taste your pickle it is horrible(definitely months old). We drove 45 min and had this experience. you need to ask customer first whether they are paying cash or card and put the convenience fee, how come you put it before asking anything? I worked years in a restaurant and I know the quality of food. Finally Great food, Great Manners.. 👏🏻

Overatted, not worth the hefty price you pay at the end.. be prepared for long wait times.. not a good experience & won't recommend..
Update:-
I wish there was a response button in Google Reviews to respond to the owners feedback..
OMG.. These guys definitely need to take rehabilitation courses on how to treat customers/guests.. Exampls are in the way the negative reviews were responded... There is no progress if you're not ready to accept the feedback..
Being a Chennaitie, Im worried, this restaurant is spoiling my City name..
I'm here on my own skillset, not carrying my heritage to fool people.. if you're so good at what you do, why use CHENNAI in your restaurant name till date, which shows your level..
Im happy to keep responding to your queries, I have nothing to lose, than you getting revealed by your words..

They served good food initially but I guess it happens as the demand goes up and no competition in the area. Prices are too high now and food is not fresh any more. I don’t know if it’s the owner or someone at the register-definitely need some customer engagement lessons. You can’t be harsh to customers if they provide some feedback on the quality of the food . Feedback should be taken in a constructive way to make things better next time.
If this continues.. I can see in coming days -where customers would end up not coming here any more.
This is the last time I am dining in here - that’s it.

In the name of make to order they are deceiving the customers and justifying the service delays. How can a dosa and thali be made to order and justify an hour delay. Owner is extremely unprofessional and lacks customer engagement. Food was average and not worth the wait times. Absolute waste of time for the food they serve. Hopeless and complete disaster!!

I strongly advise against visiting Prems Chennai Delight, and here’s why: The overall experience was extremely disappointing. The food arrived cold, parts of our order were missing, and what we did receive was of very poor quality. To make matters worse, the staff was unhelpful and lacked basic courtesy, with no updates or communication about our order. The service was slow and dismissive, making the visit frustrating and unpleasant. If you value your time and money, I recommend steering clear of this place.

My hunger died due to insane wait times.
The restaurant lady owner’s cover up line “All the food is made fresh for order”.
The items we ordered were cold…items missing from the plate…but were said they are made fresh to order and so are the delays.
Insanity is spending 1hr to get your food served.
When I provided feedback…the restaurant owner lady went in a defensive mode about to start an argument.
I am never going back there.
Highly disappointed!! This restaurant is biased towards serving customers, understaffed due to service lags & unorganized.

I recently visited a restaurant with a few friends and wanted to share my honest experience. We ordered four items, and the food was good. However, the service left much to be desired.
On a Sunday evening, the front desk staff included one lady and two young girls. Unfortunately, the lady was quite rude and arrogant. When I requested some onions, they informed me they would charge for them and wouldn't provide any on the side. Eventually, they gave us just half a slice of an onion ring.
Additionally, we had to ask for water, which should have been served automatically. It's basic hospitality to offer water first.
While we were there, the staff started cleaning tables, but the lady and one of the girls began singing loudly, which was distracting and unprofessional.
My suggestion would be to replace the lady at the front desk and improve the overall service and ambiance. Also, please consider providing enough onions, lemon, and curd with meals.
I hope to hear directly from the owner regarding this review.

The restaurant offers excellent food with a focus on customer preferences, ensuring a customized dining experience. I highly recommend their South Indian dishes, which are particularly well-executed. The generous portion sizes, along with the three varieties of chutneys served with the dosa, further elevate the overall dining experience. This attention to detail and flavor truly sets them apart.

I really like this place for its food! It’s great if you can overlook the ambiance. If you’re from Bangalore or Chennai, you’ll especially enjoy the flavors here.
