Great experience. Unique and different.
The food is absolutely delishious! A must visit!Sadly - they just stopped being a restaurant. They no longer serve food and are now just a boutique. It was a loss for Waynesville
My wife and I have been coming to Cobblestone Cafe for years. The atmosphere and staff are pleasant, and the food is divine. With an ever-changing menu, the serious “foodie” can expect a new and flavorful experience with each visit, though old favorites remain on the menu as well. Don’t let the small cafe venue fool you. The setting and ambiance are that if a quaint neighborhood cafe nestled in the countryside, but the food prepared by Chef Livingston is meticulously made and immensely flavorful. Our experience there has always been a refreshing one, and I am very happy indeed to see that they are up and running despite the current state of affairs.
This place clearly knows how to take care of their customers. Consistently with a helpful approach. The food is conveniently priced, regularly delicious and clean.
This has always been our favorite restaurant in Waynesville, but we just had a very strange and negative experience. This past Sunday we were really looking forward to lunch- especially the crab cakes salad... but after waiting an hour for our food we realized it still wasn't coming any time soon. The restaurant was full and not one table had any food. We were finally told by another customer (who was leaving after waiting over an hour and still no food) that there was no trained chef that day. A line of people were filing in but the wait staff was not telling anyone about the wait or the fact that there was no professional chef on duty. Clearly there is a problem with management here, and if we ever go back we will call ahead of time to ask if there is an actual chef, (so ridiculous). This is the kind of thing that can really ruin a reputation. We ended up leaving after sitting there for about an hour and fifteen minutes with nothing to eat. I hope they can get it together!
Good lunch! There is a limited menu for lunch, it includes sandwiches, salads and a few full plates. Everything appears geared around eating healthy. My food was delicious, I had the breaded chicken sandwich - I would come again for this any time! They also had a one sheet for brunch, I didn't spend time looking at the options.
This restaurant is my favorite site. Of all restaurants I know I prefere it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to this restaurant. when I I need a delicious lunchon, this is the place that comes straightaway to my mind. fresh and all sorts of food and a rich cuisine.courteous staff, and nice ambience. Also, the price is modest. I tell about this spot with pleasure.
Good food. Large portions. Good chips.
My family and I have been coming to the restaurant every year around Christmas time for the past 5-6 years. When we first went there, we absolutely adored everything (which is why we have continued to come back every year) however, the last 2 years have been nothing but terrible experiences. We have always had little hiccups there (like our reservations at 7 but we don't get seated until 7:45-8) but it was always made up for by the amazing food. These last two years though, have been bad experiences the whole time. I hate to compare from past years but we were hoping for the best experiences that we had in previous year but it has significantly gone down hill. My family always good at the bright side in every situation so we always try and give the benefit of the doubt and still enjoy our time but we just simply can't anymore. These are the reasons why we think that this place has decreased in value to MY FAMILY. For one, there use to be a really nice holiday menu that always had cute names to every meal. When we received the order, every meal was always SPOT ON! It was great and we always had fun reading the names. This year we instantly noticed that there is no longer a holiday menu. Now, there were a lot more options compared to previous years but it did take the fun away from this being a holiday occasion. Second, we food we receive now is not good. For example, last night, my uncles steak smelled like they just pulled it out of a charcoal fire. He couldn't even consume it because there was so much burnt crisps on it. He asked for a new steak but our waitress came out with the same steak just a little heated up and then still asked if he wanted a new steak (which I'm sure was not her fault she was asked to ask him that). I asked for my steak to be cooked medium. I am not an expert on how steaks should be cooked but I guarantee mine was medium RARE. Not only that, but my food was completely cold and my broccoli was not cooked at all. The only warm (yet extremely good) thing on my plate was the potatoes so I had to eat the potatoes with my steak so make it feel like I was eating a warm meal. And third, the overall atmosphere has decreased. The restaurant was always decorated so cute for Christmas with extremely nice, elegant and sometimes tacky decorations that we always enjoyed. However, this year was different. The music was really loud with tacky remixed holiday music, the lights were turned all the way up, and the table decorations consisted of a folded laminated piece of paper with our name and reservation on it with paper place mates and other unnecessary things. We didn't even have salt or pepper on our table. Also, we could hear everything the kitchen was saying to each other. Overall, the experiences we have had made us reconsider our family dinner elsewhere. I typically do not make reviews like this but I could not help it this time. I hope that you guys take this into consideration and make slight changes for the next year.
What a fun place to shop for unique decor and gifts AND enjoy a yummy lunch in a quaint setting.

Lunch was great. We shared the bacon jam burger and crab cakes. Service was good and pleasantly surprised with chai at the end!
Very good food, decor. The place was packed and well worth the wait. The mushroom crepe was fluffy and sauce deep and light. We ordered the burger medium, but it was cooked a little too well, but still juicy. It was constructed well on the brioche bun and homemade ketchup. We also had the kid's quesadilla which could have benefited more from shredded cheese instead of sliced. For dessert, the pecan pie with bourbon drizzle was very yummy. The crust was deliciously firm and pecans on point. The staff were friendly and wonderful and move fast albeit maybe not as efficiently to turn tables over faster. This place needs to expand!
We stopped by after the Renaissance Festival for a meal with the family. The staff is nice and they had some interesting things for sale. We ended up getting a chandelier made with wooden spools. I only wish the bathrooms had changing tables. Had to change my two kids on the bathroom floor.
Was glad to try this place again ,have been here many times.Today ,though the service was extremely slow 20-30 min wait after being seated. Waitress said it was because the crowd was large.I'm sorry, but almost every weekend is busy they should plan for that. When the food finally arrived, my Cobblestone Salad with shrimp was quite good.My husband was pleased with the special of the day, a thick handmade salmon patty sandwich with all the fixings. Bottom line service bad, food good, don't go on a Sat.
Food, service, and ambience were excellent. I had a turkey with apple sandwich with cheddar on cinnamon swirl bread. The fresh fruit was actually fresh.
