Craving seafood, we decided to drop by Old Bag of Nails. We were seated right away and quickly received our drinks. I chose a tall, frothy Guinness, while my wife went for a cranberry Kentucky mule. Our order was taken very quickly, and the food arrived in just about 15 minutes, given it was a fairly light lunch crowd
I opted for the Classic Fish and Chips, which featured two crispy British-style Atlantic fillets that were absolutely delicious. The meal also came with seasoned steak fries and a sweet, tangy coleslaw—an excellent combination
My wife had the seasonal lobster rolls off their winter menu served with kettle chips, and she said had the perfect balance of mayonnaise, butter, and lobster, all brought together by a lightly toasted New England roll
Our server, Maddison, provided friendly and attentive service throughout the meal. We definitely look forward to returning soon!

Had the whole family in for dinner which was a total of 8 people, too much food to explain but I ordered the chili with corn bread, peel your own shrimp, and the nacho platter overall our waitress Madison was very nice, worked with all of us for a total of 8 people ordering different things, very patient and got our food to us in a timely manner. The shrimp was great! Nacho on the okay side i should've added the chicken but next time! Chili was good but I'm a jiffy cornbread girl and didn't really find interest in theirs. Thanks for having us and we will be back.

Love going there and especially on anniversary occasions restaurant very pleasant wish there was a private room for anniversaries and parties my mother is 93 years old she loves going there her number one restaurant. I wish they would go back to the other fried pickles . family-friendly parking ,and restroom friendly for handicapped they should be given more room for the restaurant and parking. overall I give them a 100

This location gets five stars on the back of Gale alone. She was absolutely amazing and such a warm in comforting presence. Gale was attentive and personable and honestly, she made this location feel like you were visiting a friend's house. We vowed to comeback to this location just to be in the presence of Gale again. 12/17/2024 - First time visiting The Old Bag of Nails in Whitehall, OH with one of my good friends. Nice big open dining area. Modern seating with booths or tables. Mounted television in the booth seating area. Mounted televisions throughout the restaurant. Similar wall decor that favor their Nelson Road location. I ordered a small Loaded Chili with Cornbread. I also ordered the Gaylord Burger with French Fries, a Margarita for my cocktail, and a Coca Cola. The chili was delicious but could have been warmer. The burger was bigger than expected and yummy!The Margarita was okay. Our server was amazing. Thank you. Parking out front and on the side of the restaurant. Decent prices.
Great bartender and good food. However there is a regular who brings in his own music. Don't object to the music but I should not have to listen to his music wherever I'm seated at the bar. Different to carry on a conversation with friends.

Great bartender and food. I come every couple of weeks. The last 2 times I have been there, a gentleman, who is a regular has been playing music on a machine he brings in. While the music is okay, I shouldn't have to hear it at all, let alone on the other side of the bar.

I used to live going to this place but for the last year it has really gone downhill. It is a ghost town at 7:15pm on a Tuesday nights guy before Thanksgiving. Wait staff are sitting at a table by themselves. Out of Blue Moon and French Onion soup was lukewarm. Do not go here unless Brooke is the bartender

We were at the Nelson rd location served by aaron , fantastic time the holiday martinis are very tasty We got the coconut shrimp and ricotta balls . As well the as the honey chicken sandwich ( the batter was very salty ) but everything was delicious!
