The food is solidly delicious with caring, cheerful, attentive staff. They accommodated our large party the day after Thanksgiving with no problem.Kid-friendliness: Very high! Coloring pages and crayons

My wife and I have made a tradition of heading to Local Tavern on Thursday afternoons while my mom watches our kids for the day every week for roughly the last two years. Unfortunately, those weeks have seen the acquisition and departure of some serious quality management and staff on the floor and in the kitchen. Like, the best people you could imagine working a seemingly unsinkable local joint. It's apparently unsinkable, because if you went tonight, you'd have a great time and the remaining/current staff are saints, but this place is mismanaged with increasing acceleration and the cracks in the ship are obvious. This is conjecture based on my own experiences in service. Lots of quality people we've come to love have jumped off this ship. It's a matter of time. The owner is taking on water and has his band playing jazz instead of hymns. He cannot be paying or treating his staff right and its obvious. I know food service and customer service. I can't support it anymore even though its the closest bar to our house. Godspeed to the rest of the staff and we'll be happy to follow you. Thursdays at Local are done. I'd encourage any locals to avoid Local for the sake of their fantastic past and present staff and follow them because they are that good.

Terrible experience! Server seated us and made no mention what wasn't available on the Saturday we went. First choice, sorry we're out of that. Second choice, sorry we're out of that. Third choice, sorry we're out of that. Fourth choice, we're out of that too. Are you kidding me? Ok, goodbye and never again!

Cool local bar/restaurant. I enjoyed the eclectic decor. I had the Simpleton burger with fries. The burger (angus) was just right- juicy and flavorful. I'm not sure what their special sauce is for the burger, but it is spectacular! The hand-cut fries were a bonus :) Special shout out to Kelsey, who was very attentive . Thanks, I will save this place as a favorite for the next time I come to Cleveland.

Very consistent, tasty, and sometimes creative burgers and "such". Very fun atmosphere, pretty good prices certainly worth the money you spend. I recommend this place to my friends and family.

My party of four ate inside the bar room. It’s not a perfect world. The good first. I ate the breaded haddock, which was pretty good, deep fried, slightly oily. If I could’ve ordered it un-breaded and sautéed, that would’ve been good, but I forgot to ask. It’s unlikely they would have as this is not the kind of place that would necessarily have a trained chef, ashort order cook yes.The french fries were harsh and oily. The coleslaw was an insulting 1 ounce serving and and served in a paper 1 ounce container. The flavor was bland and soggy. One fork full serving size is insulting. The tartar sauce was excellent. They should bottle it. If it’s homemade. The two fish portions were large. We ate in a booth and the seats were the hardest I ever sat on. No cushions just playing very hard wooden benches equivalency. Would I go back? not sure, there are not many alternatives in that area the exception being Mario, Fazio’s a few minutes away going east on route 6 has put it all together, flavor, service, and atmosphere. Similar pricing. It’s probably the benchmark for nearby restaurants.Recognition to the waitress and service must be given, but it doesn’t make up for what amounts to mediocre food.
