Love the atmosphere and even the burger was delicious! I will be back and bring friends!
We weren't able to eat. They didn't honor our OpenTable reservation. They were understaffed and couldn't get us in within an hour of our reservation. It was very disappointing.
Delicious! I had the salmon and it was the best I've had in a long time. A very nice menu including sushi. Also a nice atmosphere. All servers wearing masks.
We went there 5/1/21. There is a limited menu. No sushi because they did not have the staff. The calamari was so heavily salted we could not eat it. The ceaser salad had large amounts of browned lettuce and the tree croutons were stale and soft. The flat bread pizzas..we tried all 3 were gummy, but the toppings were good. We are thankful we did not order a main dish, because we can not imagine what that would have been like. We were told the restaurant was in "transition ", I think they should close until they get it right. They say on the website they are a steakhouse, but there is only one steak on the menu and that is for $35! They should also update their website to indicate the limited menu availability. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
Even with the Covid safety measures the menu was still adequate and the service was good. The Cabin has apparently adopted some Asian cooking and they blended the flavors into the more traditional American dishes with fantastic results that were both a surprise and a delight to eat.
Me and a friend stopped by and I was absolutely blown away by the vegan options ? I will be back!! I love the eggplant dish and veggie roll
The wait was ridiculous—1.5 hours for dinner and it wasn’t even busy...had to ask for appetizer plates and silverware, staff not savvy in offering a great dining experience and staff overall is too young and haven’t been trained well. Very disappointing-was going to have a special event here but sticky floors and poor experience caused me to change my mind. Used to be a great place-too bad.
The atmosphere was fantastic, the music was fitting, the food was amazing! Went on a date night with my husband and the mood lighting was pretty sweet! Definitely a different place. 100% recommend and will be coming more often. Best sushi in this area hands down
Went back the next day for lunch after the dinner was so good! Stayed in a cabin in Hocking Hills a year ago. This place felt just like it with the comfortable style. A new favorite for us!
The waitress was pleasant, but overall dinner was a terrible experience: the beets in the beet salad were hard as a rock; the fries were grease saturated and smelled like old oil, and the restaurant itself had a “dirty” smell- we only stayed because my husband was starving. The burger and chicken sandwich were good.

We were one of two tables occupied in the restaurant. The food took over 30 minutes to arrive and my wife's meal was not even warm. When we mentioned it to the server, she said “you want me to take the entire meal back and make a new one?” (Asked in question format as if she was surprised) I ordered the filet and it was tough. Needed a steak knife to cut the meat, a $35 filet should cut like butter. On the positive side, it was hot. Do yourself a favor and Gina another restaurant.
We have been dining at The Cabin for many years and up until this last trip have never had anything bad to say. When we walked in there was maybe one other table seated and it still took quite a while for a waitress to come over to take our order. Our calamari did not seem to be seasoned as well as I recall it in the past. My wife ordered the fried chicken with mac and cheese and the chicken was braded and fried perfect but was not seasoned. The mac and cheese had leeks in it but had far too many. Plus the sauce was very watery. I had ordered a burger which was prepared well but the fries came out overcooked. It is disheartening to leave feeling we had a bad experience. We both have had many good dining experiences here in the past and were shocked as to how slow and how bad the service and food was considering how dead the dining room was. Hopefully the leadership can turn this around and bring it back to what it once was.
The service was exceptional as was the ambiance. Only reason it's 4 stars instead of 5 is because unfortunately my Delmonico was way over cooked. I'm sure they would have fixed it had I complained, but I didn't because I hate to do that and my husband likes his steak cooked more than mine so we just switched.
We had a lovely time at the Cabin. Unfortunately their sushi chef was not available due to COVID right now otherwise we would have given outstanding rating. Excellent steaks. very pleased.
THE place is a little dated and in a classic style. The food though is amazing. I had one of the 5 best prepared filets I've ever had. It was done Pittsburgh Rare which some of the great $80 and up steak house can't do like they did. Perfect, absolutely perfectly done. Apps were original and well prepared. A surprising and excellent choice for a great meal.
