My daughter and I were passing through Wilmington and were hungry so decided to find a local spot to eat. Great choice to stop here. It was mid afternoon on a Saturday, so quiet in between the meal lunch and dinner rush. We kept it simple with apps and sandwiches. The pretzel was So good, definitely one of the best I’ve had. We had lunch at the General Denver yesterday and it was absolutely wonderful! Our waitress was the sweetest young lady, who took excellent care of all our needs. We were able to take our time and enjoy all the delicious appetizers and meals over the course of a couple of hours. We never felt rushed, just very welcome. I highly recommend the fried green tomatoes, the fried green beans, the shrimp cocktail and the giant pretzel. The salads and pasta were great. The only criticism...

The atmosphere is crazy cool in this almost 100 year old building. Beautifully remodeled and decorated.
This is the rare kind of place that is super approachable and casual, but feels super special at the same time. Highly recommend this spot!
