It was absolutely a great place. We were told about the place when we went for a college visit and met with Josh in the sports department. He told us about it and it sounded wonderful. The location which is in an old home is quite large, but clean and well kept. We have only been in the main room the couple times we visited, but we were told there are other areas to sit. I think it would be neat to just go walk and look around. The food was delicious!! We have had several sandwiches amongst our family and the pizza was absolutely wonderful. We will definitely be back. Thank you!!

I love this coffee house. It was a funeral home that has been converted into a coffee house. The atmosphere was unique and amazing.
We ordered The Great Pumpkin coffee drinks. They were delicious.
All in all I would be there everyday just to sit and enjoy a good drink and absorb the atmosphere.

Needed a pick me up.
My friends and I found this place and o my goodness so good.
I got a Carmel Scorchie, my friend got a Sibu tea, and we all 3 shared a Pesto Chicken Calzone.
$22 for all of this. Not a bad price at all.
They were so helpful with recommendations and getting us our food.
The little house vibe is so fun to.
Definitely check the place out.

This place is so good! The food is hot and fresh. The blueberry scones were sold out when we got there but we stuck around for a fresh batch and I’m so happy we did!

The drinks are delightful (my favorite is the Dirty White Buddha with Oat Milk) and the breakfast sandwiches are my favorite. Everything is so fresh! Even their bread. I have yet to try any of the lunch specialties but I hope to someday. The only negative thing I have to say about this place is that I wish my wallet could stand going there daily during the work week.

Parking: Very little parking out front but you can park behind the hair salon and walk over.

Food and atmosphere we're great! I'd like to see more variety in sweeteners than sugar and stevia.

I’m not exaggerating: this is the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. I travel frequently for work and leisure. I eat in restaurants and cafes way more than any human ought to. I’ve had breakfast in countless coffee shops in over two dozen states. This is the best breakfast sandwich you will find. It looked so good I didn’t stop to take a photo of it before I started to devour it. (That’s saying something!) The cold brew coffee was flavorful and strong, but not bitter or acidic. The late 19th century home which houses this establishment is charming, and is only two blocks from the center of town. If you live in or around Wilmington, or you’re just passing through, you need to visit Kava House. This is one of those businesses that reminds us that corporate America hasn’t taken over everything, and that local businesses can be far superior, while still being reasonably priced.

Vegetarian options: Plenty of meat-free options here. In fact, they offer a hash brown option (instead of egg, if desired) for the sandwiches if you want a vegan option.

Parking: A handful of off street parking spaces and plenty of adjacent street parking if the lot is full.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp at the main entrance.

This coffee with steamed almondmilk was truly a standout. I was so happy to find a place with people who understand good coffee. The smooth and creamy coffee they gave me helped me get through a pretty rough day. Your attention to quality and detail make a difference.
