Incredible food
This serves the best Italian I have ever had. Our waiter was back at work after a pet emergency. He was great, and the service was wonderful. We were in town for the Weimaraner Specialty. I wish this place was not 5 1/2 hours from our home.
We had an incredible experience at The Mediterranean in Wilmington! From start to finish, everything was absolutely phenomenal. We started with the EVOO and fresh bread—simple but so flavorful—and a side salad with the house-made Caesar dressing that was hands-down the best I’ve ever had.
We split the cod sandwich and the gyro, and both were out of this world. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and everything tasted so fresh. What really stood out, though, was the service. Our server went above and beyond—she had the kitchen split our sandwiches and served them beautifully plated, with the sauces thoughtfully placed in front of the correct dishes.
It’s rare to find a place where both the food and service are this good. We’ll definitely be back!
The community members highly recommended the Artichoke Spinach dip with fried pizza dough sprinkled with parmesean cheese & spices- it was delicious we must admit. Bubbling hot & gooey.
The pizza ... eh
It reminded me of public school cafeteria pizza- which is amazing in itself- amazing since the ingredients were freshly applied & baked in house. The marinara is sweet with hint of basil and garlic on back pallette. Veggies were very fresh. Sausage & pepperoni were there, but little flavor. It would be perfect for children and school parties.
Staff was very pleasant
Restaurant is located perfectly. Clean & historical architecture.
We did carryout. The food was so good and service was fast. Must try.
I did take out, so can't comment on atmosphere.

This was a great place to eat. The waitress was super friendly and very attentive to our needs.
I had pear cider with homemade lasagna, salad with homemade Italian dressing, bread stick, and the chocolate peanut butter pie. My friend had the savory pumpkin soup, salad with homemade Italian dressing, breadstick, and baked spaghetti. The food was DELICIOUS!!! I would highly recommend this to everyone! It is on the pricey side but not overly priced. Plus it is totally worth the splurge! ?

The server (Paul) was a pleasure to speak with and he was exceedingly courteous to me and my wife. His recommendations for the menu items were on point. The food was excellent (artichoke dip, French onion soup, Italian Stallion calzone , and the Caprese sandwich ) and the price was reasonable. Highly recommend it.

Great little place to have some really good food. Service can get a little dicey but that is only during Extreme rush times otherwise excellent. Very friendly staff

Food was great! Portions were generous and well presented. Piping hot. Gluten free pasta option was a nice addition and made it east to go here.
Dietary restrictions: We have a gluten free kiddo and the options were a nice change for Mediterranean food!
