I enjoy this diner’s breakfast and usually have a good experience. Unfortunately, I arrived just after breakfast service ended and ordered lunch instead. I had the meatloaf sandwich with mashed potatoes.
The meatloaf itself was decent but underseasoned and arrived lukewarm. The bigger issue was the mashed potatoes, which tasted like boxed, heat-and-serve potatoes, and the gravy had a distinct powdered taste. I would gladly pay a bit more for higher-quality, scratch-made sides. Using real ingredients, especially potatoes and gravy, consistently elevates a meal.
The staff is always friendly and welcoming, the prices are reasonable, and the restaurant appears clean. I will continue to come back for breakfast, but I will think twice before ordering lunch or dinner. If the potatoes and gravy are not boxed, that raises even more concern about execution.
I hope the diner considers upgrading ingredients, as it has the potential to be much better.

I enjoy both breakfast or lunch here. For breakfast my go to is the breakfast bagel, for lunch my favorite is the chicken club with a side of deep fried mushrooms and ranch.If you're a local, there's always a chance you'll see someone you know.
My visit to the Woodsfield Dinner was good. The waitress was friendly and would come by to see if I needed anything. I like the basic dinner menu. Once we placed our order the food arrived quickly and looked good. It not only looked good it was. I would come back.
