It doesn't get better than Basil. The food is hands down the best Asian around. For the money, the food portions are great. You can tell these are authentic recipes - food is so well flavored and comes out hot. The Pad Thai is the best you'll ever have. The service is great too. We drive an hour purely to eat here - and have a consistent experience every single time. You won't be disappointed!
I generally believe that the preparation of basil is better than most other restaurants in Wooster. Put up once yesterday, the beef in my fried noodles was either of a lower quality and/or not trim properly. One mouthful was grizzly and not edible. I believe this is a one-off incident.
Nice early dinner with visiting colleague from out of state. Menu offers lots of Asian options (Chinese and Thai are main themes). I had the King Pao beef and guest had vegetable stir fry. Had wontons for appetizer. We both loved the wontons and enjoyed our meals. Had mine 'Thai hot' (3 out of 5 on their hotness scale) which was spicy but not overwhelming. Service took a bit longer than one would expect for an early sitting (40 minutes?).
