Walked over to this location after a distillery tour. For some reason we had lots of questions about the menu and they were very patient with us.

The food was absolutely amazing. Had the chef's special with shrimp and scallops, the sauce was delicious. The staff was polite and attentive and it was a quiet, relaxing dining experience. Their twist on the Long Island ice tea was damn good too. Definitely will go back! 😁

A local gem! We loved the decor, preserving an old building and its history. The menu is fabulous; I had the best pan fried fish sandwich ever. It has a lemon caper sauce instead of tartar sauce which is great. My wife had the chicken marsala and loved it. It is more of a cream sauce than a gravy and the chicken is chunks instead of a breast. The bread arrives before the meal with excellent olive oil and basil. I bought peanut butter cookies to take take home and they were great too. Service was great! We will be back.

EDIT: The owner reached out and generously resolved our poor experience. As I said, we've grown accustomed to great service/food here on previous visits. The restaurant business is hard and they don't always get it right. But I really appreciated the owner's resolution and we will be back on our next visit to campus.

This was our first extremely poor experience at Broken Rocks. Had it been our first visit, we certainly would not be return customers. It had always been a restaurant we looked forward to when we dropped/picked up our son from The College of Wooster. But this evening, once we were seated at our table, it took 15 minutes before a server checked in with us. My husband had to go to the bar and order our drinks while we waited. As far as the food, my son’s pizza was good, but both my husband and my pasta dish left much to be desired. I had their grilled vegetable and whole wheat penne pasta special. The waitress suggested I add a protein, so I ordered it with grilled chicken on top. When the pasta arrived, there was no grilled chicken, very few grilled vegetables aside from onions, quite a number of random bow tie and spaghetti noodles mixed in with the penne, and it was all sitting in a soupy oily liquid. No apology whatsoever from the waitress for forgetting the chicken, which we found a bit humorous, considering she was the one that suggested I add a protein to the pasta. After an 8 hour drive to get my son back to campus, it was quite a disappointing way to end the day. I’m really hoping this was just an “off” night for them as we’ve had great experiences in the past.

We had a private party for 29 people and Broken Rocks Cafe handled all our requests with grace and kindness. The food was fantastic and we had the best server (although we needed more than one for this size party). I highly recommend Broken Rocks cafe

The place is nice and the service is good, staff is friendly. We've beem here a few time and the food is okay. It can be hit or miss. The pastas are good, so are the flat bread pizzas. Sandwich flavors are good, the bread was very hard in one experience and one time the potatoes very very under done. But overall an okay place.

Shared a great lunch with my wife today at the Broken Rocks Café & Bakery in downtown Wooster Ohio. We had a nice table up front with a outside view. My wife had the Shrimp and Polenta special which she raved about. I had a peach glazed pork chop special with red potatoes and veggies which as also delicious. The place was packed as it was prime lunch hour, plus a tour bus full of visitors was also seated. Despite this, our meal came out in a timely manner. Our server was friendly and attentive. 5 Stars!

The grilled veggie pasta was perfect and the strawberry spinach salad was excellent. Love their sour dough bread. Best cheesecake i have had in a long time. Our waitress, Olivia was fabulous with a great personality.

Always an interesting place. Their signature sourdough bread is always good. My husband had grilled vegetable and pasta, I had a pastrami paining with house potato salad, and our friend had jambalaya with rice. The Creme Brulee is always perfect and the Strawberry Shortcake was as good as mine.
