This place is closing down, and I couldn't be happier!!! Took my in-laws there 1 year ago, and took my family there 2 years ago with the worst service, and poor employee attitude. Our waitress told us, she has been working overtime all week, and they won't hire new help. We told the manager that our food was cold, and that the steak was not "well done". Had to return it twice! The manager neither apologized, nor gave us a discount. Then second time there, a server spilled BBQ sauce all over my shirt as I was exiting the bathroom. Again, they neither apologized for the inconvenience, nor attempted to give me a discount for their mistake. The waitress told us she told the manager, and nothing was done except I was given lots of napkins. The staff is unfriendly, and the place was run down, with lots of spiderwebs on the artwork, and in the corners like they don't care about the appearance of the restaurant. We haven't been back, and I go out of my way to tell people to NOT go there, and what terrible service we had, and how poorly we were treated!! Good Riddance!!!

They just closed their mt. Vernon store. They emailed employees to inform them they no longer have a job. If you work here, be on the lookout for another job. I would never step foot in another Jake's knowing that's how much they care about their employees and the communities that support their business.

Very nice location. Food was great. I had the spaghetti bolognese and it was nicely seasoned and ratio of pasta to sauce and meat was great. My family also ordered the loaded nachos for an appetizer and were not disappointed. In my opinion one of the better restaurants in the Wooster area

Good hot food and we had a great time of fellowship with friends. Would be nice if they had a place for bigger groups the dining area is small so it can be very noisy.

Waitress was very friendly but for the value of the food reminded me of a Ponderosa Steakhouse meal. Nothing to write home to mom about! Wish it was better. Nice little place in Wooster just don't get your hopes to high!

Worst steak I've ever been served. The fact that it was even put on my table is an insult. The "blackened prime rib" was less than a quarter of an inch thick, cooked all the way through to the point it was dehydrated and the blackened seasoning was DUMPED on it...not cooked into it. TRASH!!

The wait for the food wasnt too impressive. My friends shrimp was cold, my broccoli was half cooked and had a weird smell. Service was okay, and the building was gorgeous

Prime rib was perfect!! Staff was friendly and attentive. We will return!!
Went with family. Seated right away. We had the Friday special of 1/2 rack of ribs. Very good, meat fell off the bones. Service was excellent.

This used to be a destination restaurant for us. But something over the last couple years has changed. You can tell the love isn't there anymore. Got rid of my beloved hand-dipped onion rings. The coleslaw was so bad that I couldn't eat it that is never happened in my 60 years of eating coleslaw. Shaved prime rib sandwich was dry and pretty much had to choke it down. The vegetable Melody was not edible. So sad. Another one has bitten the dust for us.

Every time I go to Jake's, I feel like the food decreases slightly in quality. I've had everything from sirloin to the double sauce penne pasta, and the food usually arrives to the table lukewarm. I feel it is also overpriced for the quality of food you receive.
