Unfortunately this is one of the worst overall dinning experiences me and my wife can recall. Not only did it take 1 hours and 50 mins and a wasted $60 to end this headache but it ended our trip to see Christmas lights, as we waited for our food so long we had to miss the park lights we drove up for.
I have never been the type to eat at a place and have a bad experience and decide to not go back, I like to try my luck at a second experience however I would not gamble and go here again.
We never got an explanation why our dinner for 3: burger, wings and kids pizza took 1 hour and 20 minutes to come out the waitress had asked us at an empty table 6 times how we were doing which we awkwardly replied fine. She said 3 times starting about at the 40 min make your foods coming out soon. No one ever apologize for the hour and 20 min wait.
The food was not good my wings that I ordered and were on the receipt as breaded were naked and looked like a mess and the "famous "sauce tasted like packet BBQ sauce. I threw up from food poisoning on the way home. I felt nauseous very shortly after leaving the restaurant making the money we spent to set and wait for 1 hour and 50 mins even feel even more wasted.
After being there for 1 hour and 35 mins we waited another 15 mins for our check we asked for while the food was on the table for the waitress to apologize she forgot, bringing us to 1 hour and 35 mins or more of waste. We got our completed order in well before the 15 min mark. A table cleaner kept bumping into me while I was sitting trying to avoid guest standing at the bar or con workers and kept saying nasty things in front of my daughter and was right down rude.
Kid-friendliness: My kid was the only kid in the restaurant and people kept telling us they were impressed with how good she was because this place isn't kid friendly. However it's labeled a restaurant and not a bar and they did have a kids menu however my daughter waited 1.5 hours with our table of 3 for her kids meal.

LarderRoom...I'm excited about this one. I've been driving past Nick's in Xenia, OH for years. It seems like everyone you talk to in Ohio has been there and they always have positive things to say about it. The parking is always full. It's ceazy. The place is cozy. The staff is kind. The food is delicious. When you go, be patient. It's a busy place but for a reason. So, more about the food. The UPO's came highly recommended. They did not disappoint. Just imagine a plate of loaded potato skins but better. The entree was a difficult choice. I decided to go with the special. The sweet hot damn burger! This massive Perfectly cooked burger was topped with provolone cheese, sweet hot damn sauce (a Nick's original) and fried Jalapenos. High five. Go check em out. I will definitely be back.
Parking: The parking lot is always busy, but you can generally find a spot. Be patient. It's worth it.

We had a great family dinner on Saturday night. The food was excellent and the server was very attentive and we didn't have to wait long for anything. Highly recommend!

I JUST left there; tried to have lunch after a very difficult day. Should have left when I saw the HOSTESS at the bar, ON THE PHONE when I walked in!
Waitress abandoned us after dropping off the appetizer. I wasn’t feeling well, so I just ordered a CUP of tomato soup. My boyfriend ordered fish & chips. Not only did some kid try to give it to the Wrong table, I never did get my soup.
She did not apologize one time; she did however, make a mountain of excuses. So rude when we left.
I am so disappointed; we will NOT be returning.
Attended their comedy night! Friendly staff, great food, and drinks! Wonderful atmosphere!

A cool vibe, great service, and hot, tasty food! We had a group of 5 of us around 1pm Friday during the weekend’s Vintage Market Days. They told us a 15-20 minute wait, but we didn’t even wait 10 minutes! We were sat at a comfortable table, and greeted quickly. Drinks were out fast! And appetizers and food order put in quickly. We got fried veggies and ranch - YUM! Great light breading. Not greasy. And my parents shared chili. They enjoyed it. My friend had a nice side salad! And then we ordered: A club sandwich w/fries, a burger, cheesesteak and slider burgers with chips. I loved the sliders!! So good. The cheesesteak was good and so were the sandwiches. I loved the homemade chips dipped in ranch! So good! And we wanted the homemade pork rinds but they didn’t have them. Darn! That was disappointing because it’s such a unique item. And we really wanted to try! Bathroom was clean. And service was kind and great! Will come again when in town!!

This was our 4th time to try Nicks. Every time I order the chicken breast on a bed of rice and mash potatoes. Every time the meal is cold in temperature the potatoes are never warm nor is the chicken. We like the atmosphere but we can never get warm nor hot food. We always sit on the patio. At this point we're done. I reather pay highet food prices for warm to hot food than to have cold potatoes and chicken and force myself to eat my meal. In fact I said to my partner maybe if we brought a microwave with us and I could heat up my food we could return. Four times and done until they can serve warm/hot food!!!
First time here with friends. It was great. Big menu and everybody's food was perfect

I want to love it because it is local and my husband loves it but I just can’t. I have been a handful of times over the last 3-4 years with husband and family and it is always the same story one way or another. Crappy service for starters. Or food not done right or proportions. This time my food was correct but I was done way before my family. The chicken breast was thin and the fries was maybe a handful. The other time I have came it was the long waits for food 45minutes to an hour plus. Not getting drink orders taken in a timely. When food did eventually come out it was wrong. I only came today because my husband asked. I won’t be back.

Had lunch with my brothers recently and food was pretty bad. Meal was sent to wrong table and was cold. Chicken fingers was missing the breading and fries were ice cold. Not sure if they have new cooks or management but I'm not coming back. I've eaten here a couple times while riding the trail and never had this problem at Nick's.

I had two large group reservations for Nick's in October 2024. I made the reservation almost a year in advance. I stopped by a couple weeks before our reservation to ensure we would be comfortable and they still were prepared for our large parties. The first reservation we came and it was pretty cold and rainy outside. We had a party of 20 people and were sat outside in the patio area. Which would have been fine, but there was no heating outside and was told that they couldn't heat the patio area until after November 1st. This was not what we were originally told by a manager earlier in the month. We spoke with the general manager who did ensure us that the next night when we had 50 people coming, there would be some type of heat to make it comfortable for our guests. We took their word and returned the second night. They did have maybe 5 residential heaters in the patio area, which was not sufficient at all for the temperature. We did reach out to the owner via the website and was told to take our business elsewhere. Well, I will certainly do that and will NEVER return to Nick's for a meal again. It's truly a shame, as the food is pretty good and the restaurant was one of the best in Xenia. Obviously, they don't need people to stop by and eat there from the attitude received from the owner. I will ensure that I tell everyone I know my experience and will not return to Nick's as long it's under its current ownership.
