First off, the service was great. We had an excellent server. Had the Corgi club and a bowl of ham and bean soup. The club was perfect and the soup although not exactly how Grandma made was savory and flavorful.

Our group has been to Ellie's on multiple occasions and always had a very positive experience. This week was nowhere near what we have come to expect of Ellie's. Food portions were obviously smaller and not at the high quality level we were accustomed to based on previous visits. One person ordered chicken and waffles and the chicken had been pounded so thin that it was mostly breading after picking through to get to the chicken. Another person's order was overlooked by BOH and brought out later than everyone else's food. Even then, it had the wrong side item which the waitress blew off like it was no big deal. There was no offer to discount her meal, comp a dessert, etc.. Most of our party had already started eating as several had hot food. Our group was, on the whole, not pleased with our overall experience. We try to support local restaurants in the Greene County area but I don't think we will venture back to Ellie's for a while.

Service: one word that comes to mind was terrible. It took 45 min for one round of drinks to make it. The atmosphere was great. The layout of this place was great. Sadly, its going to take a lot to draw us back.... Maybe the restaurant management needs a nudge in the right direction.

Had a wonderful experience. What set the tone and honestly was the best part was the person taking our name for the waitlist, Chris. They were so personable, funny, and encouraging. Their energy remained that way the whole time. Saying sweet things and interacting with everyone. I saw them tell a 3-4 year old, “you are going to change the world”. Our waitress and food were also great. We were really impressed with Chris.

We went out to eat with some friends at Ellie's before the movies.Dameon our waiter was very attentive and pleasant. The menu and food was very good. We enjoy going to Ellie's whenever we're in Yellow Springs.
We had a delishous breakfast and nice walk around yellow springs after. We will return!! Check this out if you are in town & hungry!!

Wandered into this Hotel visiting the Chapelle store on free first Fridays. cute little spot to stop in to grab a postcard or eyelash glue, which was great to know. I was taken aback initially, because there wasn’t anyone in the store to help me, then I seen the note that said bring your items to the desk and they’ll check you out.
