The vibes in here are sublime! I love so much about it: beautiful rugs, used books, huge variety of wines, mugs and art on the walls, handwritten menu and pastries in the window. The breakfast burrito is delicious! I just wish my coffee was served in a mug to reduce waste. Breakfast here followed by browsing the stacks next door at Dark Star is my definition of a perfect morning date. Grab a bottle of wine at the shop to enjoy in the evening to cap it off.

Hands down the best cold brew coffee I have ever had. I drank it so fast lol I will be coming back for more before we head back home. When I want iced coffee, that was the exact flavor/taste I am looking for.

Went there after breakfast hours do I didn’t get to enjoy a vegan breakfast with them. However, I could still see the menu and the at least three clearly labeled vegan options. Aside from breakfast, you can get coffee drinks all day or wine. Since I need to sleep tonight, I enjoyed a glass of wine instead of afternoon caffeine, all while taking in the ambience. If I was in town longer, I’d give the breakfast a try! As for retail, they had a bunch of organic wine and alcohol for sale plus a bunch of used books for sale!
Must try the gluten free muffins AND the sourdough (can not emphasize the sourdough enough)! A lot of care went into the creation of the sourdough and they were kind enough to cut me a sample! Toasted and plain, absolutely delicious either way.
Jeremy is the best and you can tell they care about the service and product.
If you walk by the class and see a gluten free sunrise muffin - have one for me, my all time favorite from this place. :)

Excellent coffee shop for the locals. We stopped by after our lunch for a coffee and small sweet.
The main room has quite a bit of seating, local art for sale on the walls, board games to borrow, some books and an old piano.
They have full coffee and tea along with the ability to buy beans. The folks behind the counter were very friendly and helpful. Some small pastries/cookies/chocolate to go along with the caffeine.
Available are small cold sandwiches and sides if you are a little more hungry. They also have coffee and coffee accessories to buy.
In addition to the wonderful caffeine choices, there is also a small but well stocked wine shop and a small liquor store in the very back. Wine-wise, you would be hard pressed to walk away with something good, or local, or maybe that you have not heard of before (or all three). The liquor store has a lot of the usual items being so small, but all major categories are represented. Finally, they have a small number of different bitters and amaros.
All-in-all, a great to place to stop.

I’m kind of shocked at what I saw today. During street fair no less. So there was this guy, “black” as if it should matter, and he came into the place and was so sweet, nice, patient.
And this little black haired white girl goes off on him. Like unprovoked, out of the blue, why is this happening. At first it was playful and I was like they know each other thats playful enough, but then she starts going off on him for every little thing he asks about. It’s making me tear up just from thinking about it because he just laughed it off, but she was nasty and rude.
I have been in this community for years and on men’s mental health month, and to the only black guy in the place. She treated him like that. Oh and the owner was in ear shot and said NOTHING. I don’t even know if the guy knows that.
Wow Kurt…do better…

It has the most warm and welcoming atmosphere, with local art on the walls, and even live music! The people working there are very nice. The wine selection is expansive.
I got a brownie which was okay (the frosting had the majority of the flavor), and a hot chocolate which was unfortunately very bland. I would still like to try their other treats sometime because they look good!

Excellent coffee!
We were so impressed! We stopped by for coffee and a pastry. Service was fast and friendly. The Chai Tea Latte and Coffee were excellent. The cookies were incredible. I will order the lemon amaretti every time! Seriously! I went to Waco, TX to the Magnolia Bakery and it was good … but Underdog is BETTER ! Thank you for the unexpected blessing! Great job!
A wonderful place to sit with a book or a friend, enjoying coffee and checking out the wine selection.
One of the best breakfast burritos and their coffee is delicious!
Not only an excellent café with lovely gluten free pastry options and great breakfast, but a cultural hub of Yellow Springs. From the local writing group, wine tastings, live music, to poetry readings, it offers such a valuable gathering space. I’m glad it’s here.
