We found this restaurant and happy cow and it had lots of good reviews. The place did not disappoint. We’re here on a beautiful summer day and ate outside in the garden. It’s a quiet spot with a dozen or so tables and lots of greenery. I started out with a wellness shot, which was delicious. My dining partner, and I split the falafel sandwich, dandan mian noodles, scallion, pancake, and chocolate pudding. Everything we had was delicious. A staff is very friendly. Counter service and they bring the food out to you. Water is served in a stainless steel urn with stainless steel cups. This place is a winner!

Had lunch on a beautiful fall day and it was the highlight of visiting Yellow Springs. Incredible food and wonderfully friendly staff, will happily visit again.

We HIGHLY recommend the Hummus platter! (Get an extra pita and it works as a light lunch for two.) Yum!

Our follow up visit was disappointing as we had a mixture of a long wait and inconsistent food. Some food excellent and so-so mushrooms. Drink was unique and excellent. Issue with service was a very long wait in a very warm indoor seating area.

Super cute cafe with rotating limited menu. Delicious food and drinks and great service. No picture of the food because it was eaten so quickly! Definitely our date afternoon spot now!

My niece and her husband recommended Mazu as a great place for delicious vegan food. My daughter and I purchased one of each of the appetizers and the special for our meal. Everything was delicious! We love trying new foods. We loved the friendly and open vibe!

Hands down the best falafel I’ve ever had. I’ll be dreaming of the Kati roll every day until I return.

Not being a vegan, I decided to start slow--just lunch with a couple reasonably-priced street eats to-go.
WOW! The Guabao and Fattoush were definitely an amazing introduction.
An overall tasty first run at Mazu; knowing the coast is clear, I will bring my vegan-averse husband next time.
How wonderful to have a new dining option in YS.
So glad you're here Mazu!
Stars lost for service & atmosphere because no one acknowledged this customer's arrival nor asked "dine-in or take-out?" (Maybe because it was a super busy lunch rush?--every table taken, except three outside in the too-hot sun).
Also, a fellow diner with a nut sensitivity was not told her dish would be laden in nuts... That's a BIG oops.
