Love the outdoor seating and the inside is just as much as a vibe as the outside. Friendly and happy staff and the food is amazing. Highly recommend ?

Hostess was a rude young thing. Told me to give her 5 minutes, I said ok and was patiently waiting when she took another lady that walked in after us. Then I reproached her gave our name and was told 20-30 minutes. After 40 minutes I asked when we would be seated and she said she was waiting to see if someone else was coming it would be another 10 minutes. After finally being seated, the food was terrible. Nice atmosphere though.

Be prepared to wait a long time to get your meal! We had read some reviews and saw this was an issue, and it certainly was for us. It took close to an hour from the time we ordered to when the food was on our table. I ordered the fish and chips, and the fish was warm at best. My wife ordered the grilled cheese, and she said it was delicious. The ambiance of the place was awesome, and all in all, we enjoyed our visit.

Stacey was a great waitress. This is an old tavern with some charm. The food was excellent; get the blt with an egg. Bring cash. There is a charge for using a credit card

Food isn't the same as it was a few years ago. Still good and worth a stop for a Reuben.

Good fried cod with their half fry half chip potato curls. Authentic parts of the original log tavern still exist. Decent portions also

My wife and I decided to stop here for a drink after a delightful day visiting Yellow Springs. We stood patiently at the “Please wait to be seated” sign. We were never greeted or even acknowledged for some time even though the bartender (who was idle at the time) could clearly see us and several wait staff walked right in front of us. Finally a server said she’d be right with us and then stood at what looked like the kitchen door and struck up a conversation with another employee. We finally just left. If rude and self-absorbed staff are your thing, this is the place for you. Otherwise, don’t let a nice day in Yellow Springs get ruined by stopping here. There are several other bars that I’m sure will treat you with respect and be glad for your patronage.

Most recent experience was not so good. The Bourbon Burger tasted off and I was given the smallest amount of fries I have ever been served here. I think they were having an off day - the waitress seemed flustered and other tables expressed that their food wasn't to standard either. I will be back - I usually love eating here.
