Food was pretty good. The service was not very friendly. It was extremely loud in this restaurant and hard to talk to people at the same table as you. Prices are rather high.

Sam was a pleasure to deal with. She was polite, funny and helpful with our food allergies. She made sure to find out with the kitchen if the selections we made were ok. Thank you . Food was outstanding .

I had a steak salad. It was good, but there wasn't enough dressing, only one little plastic container full. If I pay $20 For a salad, it needs to have enough dressing so that every bite tastes like the dressing. It shouldn't have dry spots for that kind of money, which is overpriced for a salad. I also had to wait longer than the quoted prep time before it was ready.

I wish I could get to this place more often. But it's a little further away than I like. That have a nice menu and the atmosphere is quite nice.
I think the quality of food across the entire food service industry has taken a hit over the last year or two, but this restaurant seems to be keeping up pretty well.
Service was okay but it took well over an hour to get our food tonight. They were busy for a Tuesday night, but I was with co-workers and friends so it didn't matter.
Honey sriracha shrimp was the order. I wouldn't get it again. It was overcooked and the rice with it was rather dull, but everything else was pleasant.

Absolutely the worst service in the history of ever. We sat outside at the bar, and it was sticky and dirty. We kindly asked the bar server to wipe the area off. She immediately copped an attitude and squirted me with the cleaning fluid. We ordered a drink and waited 40 plus minutes. At that point we asked for the check. There were four bar servers on duty, and they decided it was more important to socialize with each other and a few of the bar customers rather than wait on people that were waiting to order meals and what not. They stood behind the bar playing grab buttocks the whole time. Topper was when the manager came out, and he also decided to socialize rather than waiting on customers and be aware of what was going on in the establishment, and he again started to play games with the servers. So that being said, that was disgusting number one, two really bad service, and number three, they laughed at us when we called them out on the horrible service. I will tell everyone in my social media group what an abominable experience that was. This happened today: 8/7/2025. Sayonara Barry Dyngles. đ

Barry Dyngles is a solid spot for anyone craving hearty barbecue and a laid-back atmosphere. The brisket and pulled pork are standoutsâtender, flavorful, and served with sauces that pack a punch. The menu is surprisingly diverse, with options ranging from ribs to seafood and even gluten-free choices, which is a nice touch.
The new outdoor patio adds a great vibe, especially on sunny days, and the interior strikes a balance between trendy and relaxed. Service was friendly and attentive throughout.
One small letdown: the lemonade was watery and didnât quite feel like lemonade, more like lemon water. Still, the overall experience was enjoyable and worth a visit if youâre in the Austintown area.

It was a decent meal, I got 2 beers and the pick 3, ribs, wings, and brisket with mac and cheese and baked beans as my sides. Pretty inconsistent to be honest, the brisket was pretty bad, no bark and not very tender. Rate 4.2/10 The babyback ribs were pretty bland and very fatty. Could use more flavor and sauce, rated 4.3/10. The wings were awesome, very tasted and smoked nicely. The sauce they come with is also inconsistent, first time I had them it was perfect, this time no so much, 9/10. Mac and cheese was a tad over seasoned but very tasty as well. 7.6/10. The baked beans had so much potential but they were just not good. Very strong Paprika or Cayenne tasting and not very flavorful 2.8/10. I got the steak last time with the cheesy potatoes, the steak was cooked right but not seasoned and was overall pretty bad 3.4/10. Atmosphere was nice, seemed very clean, kinda hard to get the 2 bartenderâs attention with only about 10 people there but they were nice! I will be going back only for the wings!!

It was good BBQ. But another reviewer said best Brisket in Ohio, and if that is true then I feel sorry for Ohio. It had a large chunks of fat in portions that were not overwhelming. The two types of ribs were good.

Just had a great birthday celebration dinner there. Everything was awesome. I just love this place!!
Not what it used to beâŠ
Weâve been coming here for years, and it honestly bums me out to say this, but itâs just not the same anymore. The service is still awesome, and the prices are fair, but the food quality has really taken a hit.
This place used to be the spot for great BBQ, but lately it feels like theyâve made a bunch of changes - and not in a good way. The BBQ pork had a strange texture, the brisket was overcooked, the ribs were super tough, and the cornbread? Dry, cold, and crumbled apart in my hands. At least the sauce is still good.
Sadly, this has been the case the last few times weâve visited. Really hoping they turn it around and can bring it back to what it used to be.
We had a 70th birthday dinner for my father. Weâve been coming for years when weâre in town from Cleveland. Has always been our favorite. This time around service was amazing as we had a party of 18. Some changes in recipes not a fan. Cornbread was dry & crumbly. Hard to eat because it just crumbled. Brisket was over cooked & on dry side. Ribs not as tender as per usual but still delicious. Please donât ever change your sauce.
This BBQ is legit. Sauce was really delicious. Will definitely stop next time we are in the area!
Thrilled with our experience here! We came in over the weekend, a group of 20, after YSU graduation to have a family celebration. The staff was so generous and helpful throughout our 3 hours of being there. The food all came out at the same time, which was super impressive, and everyone was happy with the quality of their meal. The food here is the best! Our waitress was awesome, she was always there if we needed her and checked in on us the perfect amount, so we didnât feel bothered but we also didnât feel abandoned.
We were seated at the large table in the âupstairsâ dining area. It was perfect for our large group and the environment was very aesthetically pleasing, beautiful edison bulb lighting and decorations above the table, as well. After leaving, my husband and I just kept mentioning how great the food and service was for such a large group. I cannot imagine that a meal out for 20 people, including 3 young children, could have gone smoother. Thanks to our waitress (wish I remembered her name, hopefully this review rings some bells for management and she gets the recognition she deserves!) and all staff at Barryâs!
Aside from this experience, we have always had great experiences ordering Barry Dyngles, usually carryout. The food never disappoints and the staff is awesome! We have never ordered food we didnât enjoy. Highly recommend!
