Blue Wolf Tavern

We have been going to Blue Wolf for years and we won't be going back for a long time. We took our daughter and her boyfriend there this past Friday to celebrate her birthday. Since it was a Friday we all ordered fish. My husband and I ordered Walleye Franchise. It did not taste of anything. To make matters worse I got sick from it and so did my husband. Something had to be wrong with the fish or it had to be sitting out.
We were there way longer than usual. We had asked for more bread only to find out they are now charging extra for it. 😳 Sheesh, Of all the restaurants we frequent this way a first. Our bill was $185.00 for 4 people with dessert for 3 of us since it was a birthday celebration. My husband noticed that the 3% charge for using a credit card is NOW 5%. Adding another $10.00 to our bill. I guess it is not enough that we all pay the waitress and waiters salaries as it is. We left a generous tip because we know they depend on it.
It was an awful experience all the way around with me running to the bathroom over a 5 hour period. Double check your bill if you decide to go there. We won't be going back...

Best traditional chicken wings!!!!

Absolutely the best around.

Seeing how much others charge for sloppy wings, and then going here is a night and day difference.

we really enjoy this place.my. Iv dined there a good amount of times over the past few months.. service is great. always fairly quick even when it’s packed.. prices are a little high (imo) especially since u only get one side with an entree. i was disappointed to hear they have no mashed potatoes. a lot of the meals would pair perfectly with them. my chicken Français was good. it was literally 3 pc of chicken on a plate. that was it! strange to me. the veil was tough but the other ingredients in that dish was perfect. the adult beverages are on point! delicious!
chicken & green sandwich was great. fries are good. i give the chicken a high rating cause it’s consistently good anyway you order it.

We had a very large group, over 20, and the reservation size kept changing. The staff were really accommodating to the changes and additional requests our party had. Our server was Taylor and she WORKED. Our food and drinks were out quickly, went to the right person, no drinks were ever empty. She really hustled. Everything was delicious and top-notch from the appetizers to the service. Not one person in our party had anything but wonderful things to say about the experience. I am very appreciative of all the staff, seen and unseen, who made this experience as wonderful as it was.

The hostesses didn't say much and I had to ask if we could eat... But everyone else was super polite and the service was great. The food was amazing. Would go here again, but I'd probably try to be in nicer clothes next time. No one seemed to care but a long sleeve Tshirt felt just slightly subpar.

Found this place passing through on a long car ride and thought it looked nice. It was packed! We didn't have much time, so we ordered right away. The server seemed confused by our order even though we ordered right from the menu. We ordered 3 apps and 2 entrees for my husband and me, and after a pretty long wait, we got all 5 dishes at the same time! Not great. My ribs were outstanding though!
