The variety of bread at The Bread Chef is remarkable! The Jewish rye is the best I’ve ever had, and the jalapeño cheddar was equally delicious. Everything is incredibly fresh, and the shop is well-maintained. The staff does a great job keeping the line moving, and it’s clear they take pride in being part of the community.
My only suggestion would be to refine the ordering process, as it can sometimes be unclear who is in line or who has paid. A designated area for ordering and a separate one for paying might help streamline the experience. That said, I truly appreciate the excellent service and outstanding quality!

The good and the bad. I have gotten excellent bread from here but this is the second time and the last that I will get a croissant. A couple months ago I got a chocolate croissant and it was so dry it definitely was not fresh baked. The same thing happened today with the almond croissant. I was going to get a cinnamon roll at the vegan restaurant next door and they were out so I walked over to the Bread Chef thinking the first time with the chocolate croissant was a fluke...not so. It's $3.75 for a croissant, it should be fresh or you should be told if it's a day old and reduced so you can make your choice. I would have not purchased it had I have known it was not fresh because to me it was inedible.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Being from out of town, they helped me pick some great Italian buns. Made the best roasted pepper sandwich with them.
